DH missed his parcel and is blaming me

Dh was waiting for a parcel to be delivered and instead of waiting and listening out for it he was having s willy off in the garden with next door. I was in but didn't answer the door as I was in the bath and didn't want to get out. DH is blaming me saying if i heard the door I should have answered it but I think if he was expecting the parcel he should have been in the house listening for the door!! Now he has a face on and is blaming me. AIBU here???

OP posts:
GloryHoleInTheTrellis · 07/09/2015 23:58

I wonder how often they have to do trellis removal in A&E? My cousin works there, so I have heard the knob extraction stories. She's never mentioned a trellis, though. Maybe that only happens in naice suburban areas.

PerspicaciaTick · 07/09/2015 23:58

Sometimes you get holes in fences from knots.

I read this as knobs. It must be the only thread ever in which that misread actually makes sense.

Fatmomma99 · 08/09/2015 00:00

GloryHoleInTheTrellis, what a beautiful name.

Sadly, I suspect a hoax thread. shame :(

lorelei9 · 08/09/2015 00:09

Even if it is a hoax, I can't thank the OP enough
I've just had an unpleasant journey home (managed to get lost in a rough part of town late at night, luckily didn't get drawn into any willy offs) and was feeling quite shaken (or you could say I had the willies).
Now I'm home and so glad I "logged" in as I am literally weeping with laughter and all the er, tension, sorry, has gone.

BlackeyedSusan · 08/09/2015 07:37

who cares if it was a hoax? it was worth it.

absolutelyloveit · 08/09/2015 08:45

I think there was probably some truth to the story but the OP couldn't keep up the drama so never came back.....

MrsBojingles · 08/09/2015 09:36

Maybe she had to take DH to A&E to put his willy back on?

LoveChickens · 08/09/2015 09:37

What a shame the OP didn't come back!

BlahBlahUsername · 08/09/2015 10:07

Can MNHQ make her come back? I want to know what a willy off is!!

BankWadger · 08/09/2015 16:29

I remember the willy willy will thread from my sleep deprived new born baby days Shock but even more shocking is mitmoo saying it must be a wind up thread! Shock mitmoo the troll whose name should not be uttered, calling troll!! ShockGrin

OneDay103 · 08/09/2015 16:34

So obvious this was a wind up. Some posters are so gullible trying to figure what the op meant. And as for those 'crying laughing' really???

Justbatteringon · 08/09/2015 16:35

I'm going to guess he was having a swally in the garden? Op come back and tell me I'm right!

lorelei9 · 08/09/2015 16:36

OneDay - if you had had the evening I'd had, believe me, the crying with laughing was much much needed and I don't think anything else I saw online last night would have prompted it!

Given the bizarre things auto-correct can do, I don't think it's obvious at all that it was a hoax. Still happy to thank OP in any case.

morecoffeethanhuman · 08/09/2015 17:09

Some people r joy less! We are laughing at the witty responses - its common in society too.
I also don't think its a hoax its just a term many of us were unaware of!!
I come back to the thread not so much for an op up date, but for the funnies of the humorous MNers

MummyPig24 · 08/09/2015 17:30

Come back op! We need to know what a willy off is?!

paulapompom · 08/09/2015 19:38

OP is busy having a fanjo off Confused

Topseyt · 08/09/2015 19:54

OnDay, have you had a sense of humour bypass? Nobody is taking it seriously. Virtually the whole thing is in jest.

Come on OP. We NEEEEEEED to know what a Willy Off is!! Grin

TenForward82 · 08/09/2015 20:04

For god's sake OneDay, you're not superior to the rest of us. That's at least two posts you made on this thread about how unfunny it was and how it's not real. Do you feel big and clever now?

It was funny to some of us. A laugh can do you good. Try it sometime.

Aramynta · 08/09/2015 20:12

OP why you do this to us?????

Spadequeen · 08/09/2015 20:15

Op come back, mnhq, can't you make her come back, we need to know!

QOD · 08/09/2015 20:15
Star
Lolimax · 08/09/2015 20:18

I've been having a good giggle to myself all day about this! Was kinda hoping for a rational willy-explanation but I agree we've either frightened OP off or it's a hoax. Either way I nearly wet myself in bed last night. Lucky DH was safely ensconced in work on nights!! His willy was very safe.

DirtyDancing · 08/09/2015 20:50

Even if it was someone writing a fake post... Doesn't mean it's not funny. Just the term "willy off" is hilarious. Hey it's good to laugh.. Lighten up One

JustMeOverHere · 08/09/2015 21:01

Oh poobums I hoped that the willy off had been explained! Grin

jobrum · 08/09/2015 21:12

Yeah, I came back in the hope it had been explained!
