To think sleeping naked is a bit...ick?

Just started seeing someone (been friends for a long time) and last night we had our first sleep over. DTD, all good and lovely but afterwards I was dying to put my pants back on.

We ended up having a laugh about it and he admitted he's a naked sleeper, which I have never been. It's not a huge issue but it got me thinking...

Does anyone else out there find sleeping naked icky? Or am I the strange one?

We don't mind a bit of mess either- in fact I think it's rather nice.
Sheets get changed regularly.

Penis beaker anyone?

BertieBotts · 09/09/2015 08:33

Was in reply to the person who said wet ones would be uncomfortable, giraffes. But am going to desist now before this thread descends into pervert central.

RoboticSealpup · 09/09/2015 08:42

I think casual nudity is deeply unsexy for some reason.

Loulou000 · 10/09/2015 11:09

Jealous of all you lovely ladies who are having the sex. Leakage, can't honestly remember.

goblinhat · 10/09/2015 11:30

casual nudity

Is that the same as random nakedness? Or slipshod bareness? Or errant starkness?

I agree- all well below standards.Hmm

RoboticSealpup · 10/09/2015 11:46

goblin What? You don't know what "casual nudity" is? Wink

I mean when someone is casual about nudity. Like waking around naked for ages after a shower, eating breakfast naked or whatever. I distinguish that from other types of nudity, which I don't find unsexy. Examples of 'sexy' nudity are: whilst having sex, posing for a sensual picture or stripping. Grin

MissDuke · 10/09/2015 11:51

I wear bra and pants, thick pyjama bottoms or old trackie bottoms and a long sleeved top. Sometimes a hoodie or dressing gown too. I don't know how people can cope with sleeping nude, I would be miserable and shivering all night. I don't particularly like when dh sleeps naked but I cannot vocalise why. He is usually warm and throws the duvet off which means more for me Grin

goblinhat · 10/09/2015 11:52

robotic I am glad there are some of us around to uphold standards.
The world would be a shoddy place otherwise- imagine- adults walking around naked in their own homes for ages after a shower.

Tell me- what is the acceptable length of time between coming out of the shower and robing up? Two minutes? Ten? Twenty? Is is seasonal, temperature or light dependant?

I feel I may have overstepped the mark on some occasions in the past. Blush

MercedesDR · 10/09/2015 11:58

I've done it since I was 20 - if anyone wants to join me they get naked or go home!

RoboticSealpup · 10/09/2015 13:46

goblin I'm sure you don't really care whether or not I would hypothetically speaking be likely to find you sexually attractive!

NKFell · 10/09/2015 14:11

get naked or go home! is going to be my new favourite catchphrase!

DP sleeps naked all the time but if he's particularly chilly he wears just a T Shirt...like Winnie the Pooh haha

goblinhat · 10/09/2015 14:14

robotic- it hadn't crossed my mind.

RoboticSealpup · 10/09/2015 14:48

So why did you take my childish opinions so seriously? This is just a funny, silly discussion about people's personal preferences!

goblinhat · 10/09/2015 14:51

robotic- seriously? You are way off mark- I was continuing in the same humorous vein.

Did you really take my questions seriously?

RoboticSealpup · 10/09/2015 15:38

switches irony detector to "on"

Sorry! I had technical problems.

RoboticSealpup · 10/09/2015 15:52

I thought you were being sarcastic at me, rather than with me.

Disappears down metaphysical black hole

goblinhat · 10/09/2015 15:53

Sorry too- that's the problem with the internet.

Loulou000 · 15/09/2015 13:34

Oh I am so glad you two made up. Silly old internet.

FarFromAnyRoad

I think 'icky' is 'icky'. What are you afraid of? Don't tell me - it's poo crumbs isn't it? grin

TurnOffTheTv

Unless you're prone to shitting the bed I can't see the problem.

OneBreathAfterAnother

Nobody should have a poo crumbs problem. If they do, they need to learn to wipe their arse, not attempt to contain them in clothes.

Surely they'd just fall out the foot hole anyway?

Nothing to add to this thread but these ^ comments have made me laugh all evening!

RaingodswithZippos · 22/10/2016 21:52

I only ever wear knickers when I'm on, or with a baggy t shirt if room sharing with 16 yo DS on holiday. Otherwise always sleep naked - it's more comfortable when you turn over and don't have a nightie caught up! DH always sleeps naked too unless we are on holiday then he wear boxers in case we have to evacuate Hmm

Diamogs · 22/10/2016 21:54

Hmm wonder why this zombie thread was bumped

CockacidalManiac · 22/10/2016 22:30
