I'm 36 and would like to ttc around Christmas.

I've 2 dc but would love a third.

I don't think 36 is old now for a baby but then I scare myself by googling too much!

Two my Nan at 46 (back in 1950) with my Mum, and a close friend had an egg doner to have a baby at 47.

My great-grandma had her last baby at 46. She was pregnant at the same time as my nannan!

My best friend two years ago aged 53. Natural conception. She has a grandchild the same age as her son and was on the maternity ward with her daughter.
The nurses and other patients were like Confused

  1. Friend of mine. Know quite a few who had a baby at 40. It's quite common really.

That looks confusing just written down.
My friend had her son at the same time that her daughter also had her son ( my friends grandchild )

Personally, a friend whose mother had her when she was 46 back in 1970.

Professionally, a 60 year old, donor eggs with the transfer carried out in India, a very high risk pregnancy supported by the NHS. Quite a few others but 60 is the oldest I know.

52, she thought she was going through the change. Her partner was 27 and had a lot of energy, so she said he was on baby duty.

My friend was 41 with her first and 43 for her second, I was 45 when I became a grandmother

Rodenhide · 17/01/2019 21:14

I had mine a week before I turned 46. All good so far.

tinytreefrog · 17/01/2019 21:47

44 is the oldest that I'm sure of.

Wish4another · 17/01/2019 22:19

Congrats ! Were you very worried during the pregnancy ? Is it your first ?

Maelstrop · 17/01/2019 22:47

A friend was 49. Total surprise! The baby was neurotypical, absolutely healthy.
