We don't hug and we don't hun, right? I think I've got that, spesh from the nm vs mn debate.
But there are a couple of posters in the last few days that I've noticed and I've thought- bloody good point and I like the sound of you.

Do we pm each other and strike up friendships? Or is that way too weird and stalkery and I should without doubt desist?

I posted on the first page of this thread, but been thinking about it all day,and have come back to add my new thought only to find that you're all BFFs. Feel very left our and hurt (if only there was an emoticon with a sad, lonely, friendless single tear, to pluck the heartstrings of the hardest MN heart).

I was going to say, Freeble that in my experience, friendships are usually made where you least expect them. However, it now seems like you've got loads, so I'm going back to my lonely, sad, friendless hole....

sorry, Zing, I forget that a sense of humour like mine (i.e. often not as funny as I think I am) doesn't translate to the written form!

I think it's ok to PM someone to agree with their posts or say WTF? about a thread. Online friendships often naturally develop from PM conversations.

But I would think it weird if someone PMed to say 'I like you, wanna be mates? '

I had a lovely pm from a member a while back saying she agreed with what I was saying and we found a lot in common.

It was nice and not at all stalkery.

I met my closest friend through MN. I asked in The Doghouse a few years ago for advice on getting a Greyhound and she gave me lots of helpful advice. The dog I ended up getting is her dogs younger half brother :) we chatted on the Greyhound thread I set up in The DH and we ended up adding each other on Facebook, we chatted a LOT on FB, more often than not well into the early hours of the morning :o a few years on and I've been to stay with her twice (she lives a few hundred miles away from me :( ) and she came to (and witnessed) my wedding a couple of weeks ago :)
