He's wipped his shit on my towels!!!

Friend has decided to come to stay with her boyfriend this weekend.

Said boyfriend had a shower this morning, and obviously decided to wipe his arse on my towels. There is shit on one of them- sorry if TMI, but it's like skids, not chunks so I think it's just arse-drying-and-realising-your-arse-is-still-shitty iykwim.

Regardless, it's fucking disgusting and they were a birthday present- cost a small fortune from the white company.

AIBU to go out tomorrow and buy another and give him the bill???

I haven't confronted- but I made a point of putting the towels in the wash as we sat down for dinner earlier and he didn't even look embarrassed.

YABU, he was obviously making a dirty protest at you lack of bidet....

Kreeshsheesh · 14/08/2015 21:05

Put your Tesco towels out! Classic Grin

squoosh · 14/08/2015 21:05

I loved Monica's towel categories!

TenForward82 · 14/08/2015 21:05

Oh boy.

Look, if you have anal leakage problems, you don't wipe your ass on someone's towels when you're a guest in their house. If I was worried about anal leakage, that would be the last thing I'd do.

Pleeeeeease.

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 14/08/2015 21:06

The person is brings up the subject of shit on the towels is so much ruder than the person who accidentally left shit on the towels. Unless you're talking to your partner or children, in which case it's fine.

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 14/08/2015 21:07

That should say 'the person who brings up the subject'

TenForward82 · 14/08/2015 21:07

Disagree. You make a mess in someone else's house, you clean it up. Has politeness gone out the (bathroom) window?

whattodohatethis · 14/08/2015 21:08

framing towels Grin

Methe · 14/08/2015 21:08

If your arse leaks then I would hope you would take your own towels with you?

squoosh · 14/08/2015 21:09

As the saying goes, shit happens. But if shit did happen on your host's towels wouldn't you at least try and bung it in the washing machine?

TenForward82 · 14/08/2015 21:09

Thank you! The things that people will argue about on this board baffle me.

SurlyCue · 14/08/2015 21:10

Soo anal leakage= never be a guest anywhere. Or dripdry. (Possibly a problem for the floor mat though Wink)

usualsuspect333 · 14/08/2015 21:10

People will argue about shit all day long on MN.

WalfordEast · 14/08/2015 21:11

Seems to be quite the split opinion. Towels are clean but I'll never look at them in the same way again

My old Primark classics will be coming out again in the future.

OP posts:
Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 14/08/2015 21:11

But as someone else said, he may not have noticed. I am another one who has only noticed unfortunate marks on towels the next time I went to use it.

member · 14/08/2015 21:11

They're cotton with a high chance of being white if from White Company so will stand up to hot washes & stain removers.

Maybe you should consider using cheaper towels for guests in future? When I still had periods, I've had blood going onto a towel immediately post shower. I wasn't being skanky, sometimes shit happens Wink

violetwellies · 14/08/2015 21:12

Bad manners to leave excrement on your hosts towels.
Appalling manners of host to point it out. HTH.

sandycove · 14/08/2015 21:12

Viva I saw that one, I remember thinking, "why would you embarrass yourself in front of the whole nation with your shitty arse", I mean why go on TV to let everyone see that, dirty sod. Grin

squoosh · 14/08/2015 21:12

Oh I love Primark towels.

Whatthefucknameisntalreadytake · 14/08/2015 21:13

And I don't think anyone who would go out of their way to make sure their guest felt embarrassed and uncomfortable can have a leg to stand on when it comes to commenting on manners and being polite.

SurlyCue · 14/08/2015 21:14

If your arse leaks then I would hope you would take your own towels with you?

Well I would (if i had a leaky arse) (and was ever a guest anywhere) but who knows what happened. Maybe he planned to and forgot. Maybe the problem is sporadic and he wasnt expecting it. Maybe the visit was last minute. Maybe he just completely forgot he had the problem and lifted the towel out of habit.

Not sure what ten is thanking you for. She didnt say anything like what you said. Confused

ShatnersBassoon · 14/08/2015 21:14

Are you sure it's poo? Not chocolate, or dried blood? What I'm asking is, have you sniffed it? You need to be sure before you confront him.

It could be your friend's poo anyway. God knows what folk get up to when they're away from the privacy of their own dungeon.

LeftMyRidingCropInTheMortuary · 14/08/2015 21:15

Maybe he farted in the shower (is good fun, makes a loud, wet, echo-y noise) but followed through without realising? Ie it was the ghost of a shart that he left on your towel. (A shit-fart = shart).

Only on MN folks.

TenForward82 · 14/08/2015 21:15

SurlyCue, you can take this to illogical conclusions if you like, so ok, let's play out this scenario:

SCENARIO 1:

  • person with anal leakage overcomes their crippling embarrassment and gets a significant other
  • goes to stay at significant other's house with evil unfeeling flatmate
  • has a shower
  • is paranoid about anal leakage, so dabs themselves dry in the ass area with toilet paper
  • satisfied that no anal leakage has occurred, they wipe themselves dry with towel
  • situation effectively negotiated!

OR

SCENARIO 2:

  • person with anal leakage overcomes their crippling embarrassment and gets a significant other
  • goes to stay at significant other's house with evil unfeeling flatmate
  • has a shower
  • throws caution to wind for some bizarre reason and wipes themselves all over with towel
  • suddenly remembers they suffer from anal leakage. Uh-oh! Better check the towel!
  • checks towel
  • oops, leaked
  • fesses up to owner of said towels and is very apologetic for this embarrassing but understandable medical condition
  • [optional] offers to replace towels cos he's a decent chap
-everyone is happy!

Ok? That make sense to you? At all?

MistressMerryWeather · 14/08/2015 21:16

^This thread is disgusting.

What is the MN obsession with bloody shit.^

The indigence is here perfect! :o

Jesus OP, he didn't do it on purpose, he probably didn't notice.

Wise up.
