Most Jews are not Isreali

Many Isrealis are not Jewish.

20-25% of Israelis, including the Israeli army are Muslim, ( varies year to year)

Some Jews are Arabs. Some Arabs are Jewish.

Some Palestinians on the West bank are Jewish.

There are no known Jewish Palestinians in the Gaza strip as Hamas has succeeded where Hitler failed, in wiping out it's own indigenous Jewish population. This is the ONLY reason why there are no Jews left in this population.

Israel has done terrible things. Hamas has done terrible things.

Please don't classify things done by Israel as done by Jews, a quarter of them are not Jews. please don't classify things done by Hamas as done to Jews, many of their atrocities are inflicted on Muslims.

To say Jews and Israelis are the same is like saying English people and Anglicans are the same, many people are English and Anglican, many people are English but not Anglican, and many Anglicans are not English.

And also, some Palestinians, and some Israelis are Christians.

Attenco - so your Muslim friends were against the Tricycle theatre banning the UK Jewish Film Festival? That's good to hear. Where I live, Muslim groups tended to endorse the ban.

I actually haven't seen that commented on, but that would certainly be there their stance judging by all their other posts.

I'm really glad your Muslim friends are so sensible Atenco (genuinely, not sarcastically). I also have Muslim friends who would take a similar stance. Having non racist friends is important to me too.

But anti-semitism is rife within the UK Muslim community. I've heard it and seen it and people are often very open about it. Funnily, here in the US where I live, the Muslim community is far more tolerant, maybe because it's more diverse than in the UK.

Beyond that, Muslim countries with hardly any Jews at all are still virulently anti-semitic. Countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Malaysia - which don't have any dispute with Israel - hate Israel with a passion (and I mean grassroots hated) yet conveniently ignore their own dismal human rights record. Yeah, they dress it up with saying that they're just anti-Israel but listen to the discourse and it's all about the Jews.

What do you think would happen if someone walked the streets of Karachi looking obviously Jewish?
