To wonder how many cover ups there are and what we're not being told?

I've never really believed in conspiracy theories and thought people who thought there is any kind of truth in them were a bit odd/strange, but since the whole Jimmy Savile thing Im finding myself wondering more and more about what we're not being told things. Years ago I used to post on another forum and people on there were always hinting that Savile was a pervert and then the moderators would come along and ban people for libel and posts would get removed, but it turns out it was all true.

Now today I've just watched an Australian current affairs show attempting to expose a pedophile ring at the very heart of the British establishment, why aren't the UK media doing this? I feel so disturbed. What aren't we being told?

AIBU to wonder how many cover ups there are actually are? Everything is starting to feel a bit unreal, like one big lie.

Though that bloke that broke into the Queen's bedroom (Michael Fagin?) is still alive. A friend of mine who's a devoted conspiracy theorist claims that he raped her but I hardly think that's likely. If it was then I imagine he'd have met an untimely end a while ago.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 15:05

The story broke anyway sansarya. Think it might have been in the n o t w.

CoogerAndDark · 23/07/2015 15:15

Doesn't Paul Burrell have a shop in Cheshire now? A florist?

EmeraldThief · 23/07/2015 15:39

Nope his shop in Cheshire is long gone, he sold up and went to live in Florida with his wife and kids, the official explanation being that there was more work there for him than over here where the media had made him into a bit of a joke. There was a very mysterious Fire at the shop during the trial, could have been a coincident though I suppose.

sashh - I don't buy that re David Cameron. He and Sam appear to be firmly ensconced in the kind of faux middle (but upper, really) class circles that would find this stuff anathema. Like I said, his politics may be distasteful to many, but I really don't think he's sociopathic.

And I know I sound like a total Cameron apologist. I'm honestly not! It's more that I'm trying to drill down into the issue of who is really in control if even the PM won't/can't do anything about this. As I think Garlick (on phone so can't read back to check) intimated, there are powers at work here far greater than mere 'Government '. Profoundly chilling.

CoogerAndDark · 23/07/2015 15:49

Nope, it's still there in Farndon. So very much not disappeared off to Florida.

Wannabestepfordwife · 23/07/2015 16:04

I'm what some may call a conspiracy theorist I prefer the description realist.

I don't see how any prime minister, Home Secretary, head of MI5 or Met police could have not known.

I'm concerned how these cover-ups could of influenced foreign policy over the years. If David Icke and his followers are correct about the RF surely any foreign spy worth their salt would know some of this information.

I'm also deeply skeptical about the Ian Watkins case all the reports about him and then he gets arrested when searched for drugs. Not to mention the only person arrested in connection to him is his ex.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 16:41

Once you start believing that's it not the Pm in control then you really start dipping your toe into conspirational waters. You need to look to the powerful banking families, the Bilderberg committee, The trilateral commission etc

See who attends these meetings. See the same faces cropping up.

There's one consolation , as much as they try to hang on, aka bush senior ( and a few others who've been at deaths door a few times ) they all have to die eventually.

howtorebuild · 23/07/2015 17:02

The current trial of an Actor is interesting.

William and Kate and the children are reportedly not spending much time with Charles, it does make you wonder why.

MagpieCursedTea · 23/07/2015 17:25

What is it about the Ian Watkins case that makes you skeptical Wannabe? Do you mean you think he's innocent?
I stupidly read the details of that case and I was deeply disturbed by what he did.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 17:27

If its the one I'm thinking of, he insists he was at a party aged about 14 and ( going from memory here) There was a leading light from a national child abuse charity.

This young actor says he was propositioned by men and women of all ages but this person certainly did nothing to keep him safe.

Wannabestepfordwife · 23/07/2015 17:35

The opposite Magpie that he's definitely guilty but the investigation into him maybe brought some more high profile people to light. I can't explain it its just a gut feeling.

I think I'm getting there Dowser I think the Carlisle group run the U.S.. Can you recommend any good sources on the Bilderberg I keep meaning to read Daniel Estulin's book

Garlick · 23/07/2015 18:15

Jon Ronson's fairly entertaining on the topic, Wanna.
Long extract.
I recommend all his books! He's a lovely bloke.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 18:21

I can't. I'm sorry. I first heard David Icke talk about them 20 years ago.

Garlick · 23/07/2015 18:22

It does have its own websites, btw: www.bilderbergmeetings.org/frequently-asked-questions.html I think it decided to be less secretive after Ronson's book!

More on Wikileaks.

Celerie · 23/07/2015 18:38

This as a case study is an interesting example of the web of power, nepotism and Bilderberg Group.

You can see how the insertion of a Very Bad Person (and I absolutely am NOT trying to imply that Mr Knight is that person) could end up in a complex web of favours done, entities and events concealed.

Everything is like this. They are all puppies in a basket, licking each others balls, cuddled up and they may be good or they may be bad.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 19:33

He's a very busy boy isn't he?

FloraDiesEarly · 23/07/2015 20:03

Not meaning to derail, but I never realised the connection between him and India Knight.

Quietattheback · 23/07/2015 21:02

The disclosure of the historical child abuse/VIP peado ring is in itself a cover up for the current child abuse/VIP peado ring going on under our noses.

The notion that a relatively large and organised group were perpetrating crimes and successfully covered it up for decades and then just ceased their activities because..?

Why? They suddenly had a moral epiphany? Divine inspiration?

No.

It was happening then and it's happening now and my guess is we would all be shocked and horrified by who is involved and the scale of it.

It is no accident that it is only the dead and the dying that are being outed. They are nothing more than old sacrificial goats to appease the growing disquiet amongst the masses.

YouTheCat · 23/07/2015 21:07

So true.

I heard of a few current MPs on a list (from all parties).

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 21:11

That's a sobering thought Quiet and one that hadn't occurred to me. God, is there anyone who can intervene and stop it?

Wannabestepfordwife · 23/07/2015 21:20

Thanks for the links garlick I nearly missed Aquafit reading the Jon Ronson exert.

Celerie if the bad person you mean is a certain foreign born media mogul I always imagine him like Elliot Carver from Bond.

Dp and I watched "We are NOT broke" last night and it's fascinating how many corporations who don't pay federal tax get government contracts.

With the establishment cover up in this country it seems as the powers that be have let Simon Danczuk talk about the dead but now they are almost trying to discredit him in the DM with his in laws selling stories

Tuskerfull · 23/07/2015 21:20

I stumbled on a conspiracy theory about Whitney Houston's death and Bobbi Kristina's almost-death recently. There are very intricate theories about a Satanic cult controlling Hollywood, performing sacrifices. They believe Beyonce and Jay-Z sacrificed people in order to get Blue Ivy.

I came away from it very disturbed at the lack of critical thinking skills on the internet...

Ladyleia · 23/07/2015 21:52

Has anyone looked at the Hampstead kids stuff? That is current and ongoing. The kids made graphic and easily-verifiable allegations against all sorts of people including their father. Nothing seemed to be done about it apart from the kids being taken into care and then the mother had to flee the country as she had tried to draw attention to what was happening. She has been vilified in the press and the judge said that she had coached the kids to make up lies.

What astonishes and shocks me is that the kids have been taken away from their mum and they have not been believed at all - not just have their allegations about horrible stuff be swept under the carpet. Talk about it happening right under our noses...some very powerful forces at work to 'clean' this mess up...

I don't believe that bit there was no way she was pregnant!
