To wonder how many cover ups there are and what we're not being told?

I've never really believed in conspiracy theories and thought people who thought there is any kind of truth in them were a bit odd/strange, but since the whole Jimmy Savile thing Im finding myself wondering more and more about what we're not being told things. Years ago I used to post on another forum and people on there were always hinting that Savile was a pervert and then the moderators would come along and ban people for libel and posts would get removed, but it turns out it was all true.

Now today I've just watched an Australian current affairs show attempting to expose a pedophile ring at the very heart of the British establishment, why aren't the UK media doing this? I feel so disturbed. What aren't we being told?

AIBU to wonder how many cover ups there are actually are? Everything is starting to feel a bit unreal, like one big lie.

We stopped watching the news 11 years ago. Always felt it was just a method of brainwashing and feeding of carefully chosen pieces of information, not really news.

And we are not even conspiracy theorists.

We read widely online about what is going on in the world.

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 09:21

howtorebuild, I remember wondering about that at the time too. And I wonder if there was some sort of gag order in the deal, as Burrell has been remarkably silent about the royals since. Or at least I assume he has, I'm not a Hello or OK reader!

Dowser · 23/07/2015 09:36

On the thread that I keep banging on about you will find many people saying that loads and loads of stuff has been pulled from the Internet . Many people have got hard copies. Obviously no one knows their real identities and the thread is very triggering but it really is worth taking the time to wade through it, all 4100 pages of it because its a fascinating thread. It's how a whole army of strangers came together with the common aim of exposing this sickness in society. It must be a sickness because no level headed, sane person with good moral values would ever wish to have sexual intercourse with the most vulnerable in society, our preciou babies, toddlers and children.

Someone mentioned Miranda up above . That's well documented. Do you seriously think he was going to do anything?

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 09:46

What I find incredible about the Miranda story is that it appeared in an interview in The Spectators and there was pretty much no further mention of it anywhere else. And the Lynton Charles thing is the same - all evidence and records relating to that case has apparently been "lost".

FrizzyPig · 23/07/2015 09:58

Haven't read the whole thread yet but has anyone mentioned the 'conspiracy' about Dunblane? Confused

Dowser · 23/07/2015 10:06

It does. On the thread.

Dowser · 23/07/2015 10:21

sashh · 23/07/2015 10:25

Genuine question - so presumably DC knows. How does he sleep at night? Whatever people think of his politics, I honestly don't think he's an evil man. He has his own children

But he sees his own children as different, not the same species almost. Many many loving fathers have done evil things to other people's children

tilder · 23/07/2015 11:59

Am enjoying the love for David icke. He is an interesting chap.

Self selection of sources of information and news is a classic way of selecting sources that reinforce our beliefs. So only reading particular sources from the internet gives just as much bias as only reading the telegraph.

Am not suggesting the telegraph is a source of truth and honesty (i don't read it as it doesn't match my political beliefs Grin) but at least it has to be relatively transparent in its sources and leaves more of a paper trail for others to follow than the websites that are accountable to nobody.

Am quite sure there are cover-ups. But am equally sure there is a whole truck load of speculation and exaggeration and fantasy too.

blueballoon79 · 23/07/2015 12:05

It's all sickening. After reading this thread I've read a lot of the links and watched the videos and spent time finding other information.

I've read the Royals have been implicated in the disappearance of children, The royal guards have numerous members who are being investigated over their involvement in pedophilia.

Many royal connections are known pedophiles.

David Cameron himself has been accused of not only knowing about the pedophile rings but of being a pedophile himself.

1978, Harriet Harman, then a newly qualified solicitor, became the NCCL’s legal officer. She promptly wrote its official response to Parliament’s Protection of Children Bill, which sought to ban child pornography.
Her letter claimed that such a law would ‘increase censorship’, and argued that a pornographic picture of a naked child should not be considered indecent unless it could be proven that the subject had suffered.

There is so, so much more and I'm going to stop reading it now as I'm finding it so distressing that still NOTHING is being done.

Fantasyland · 23/07/2015 12:35

What do people think of the Obama conspiracy?
I don't totally understand what the conspiracy is trying to say and what it means , something about a forged birth certificate and he isn't who he says he is Confused

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 12:38

If you're referring to the theories spouted by the "birthers" I think it's a load of rubbish tbh. What it is is that if he was born overseas then he wouldn't be eligible to run for President. And of course there are those who claim he's Muslim too and in Tea Party Land, Muslim = Terrorist/Enemy of the State.

Fantasyland · 23/07/2015 13:01

What is tea party land?

If he was Muslim wouldn't he just say he was? Don't understand why it would matter

Prelude · 23/07/2015 13:08

It would matter very much to the Christian Right.

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 13:12

Sorry misplaced comma in my previous post - I didn't mean Obama is in Tea Party Land, I meant the Tea Party lot think Muslim = Terrorist!

howtorebuild I've always thought that Paul Burrell could have brought the monarchy down if he'd wanted to. He knows far, far too much about them. I don't know why he's so protective of them when theyve treated him like a piece of crap. I know people who've met him on several occasions and he's apparently a nice bloke, doesn't live in the UK anymore though. I believe he and his family went to live in Florida and he's rarely heard of now, conveniently...

OP posts:
Sansarya · 23/07/2015 13:38

That definitely sounds like some sort of financial deal was done in exchange for his silence, doesn't it?

It was all so bizarre when it happened - the Queen sitting down for a chat with him and telling him there were dark forces at work that not many know about. Then again, isn't that exactly what we're discussing here??

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 13:40

And from Wikipedia:
"The trial collapsed after evidence was given that the Queen had spoken with him regarding disputed events, and a Public Interest Immunity (PII) certificate was presented by the Crown Prosecution Service on the basis that disclosure of certain information would be harmful to the public interest."

That doesn't sound suspicious in the least...

EmeraldThief · 23/07/2015 13:44

The Trial collapsed when the Queen suddenly remembered she had given him items to keep safe, just as he was about to take to the witness stand and reveal God knows what about the Royals.

Garlick · 23/07/2015 13:49

I don't understand why Obama would have badly-forged birth details Confused

I got the impression the badly-forged documents came from sources trying to prove he isn't American? However, I'm not interested enough to do my own checking - as US Presidents go, I like him.

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 13:50

Hadn't Diana told Burrell about Charles and the valet and that was the story he was about to reveal?

Garlick · 23/07/2015 13:50

Haha, Sans, not at all!!

Sansarya · 23/07/2015 13:51

This story en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Smith_(royal_servant)

Early deaths from unknown illnesses seem to be a common theme.
