I have no issue with Muslims as individuals. I've not met any individual Muslim with whom I have had to take issue with.

I do have an issue with how the Islamic religion is currently going. It is not currently in a progressive phase, as a religion. As the newest of the old religions.

I'm not shit hot on how Catholicism has played out either, or various aspects of Judaism, Hiduism.

It isn't racist or phobic to voice concerns about IS or the fact young men from my neighbourhood are dashing off to join that movement. It's a genuine concern.

I've been giving the benefit of the doubt to this OP but I do in fact think she is a stealth shit stirrer.

She certainly stirred the shit on the fasting thread in Chat. In fact she came across as a fully fledged Daily Mail journalist with some of her posts.

Particularly the ones claiming that Muslims on tubes and buses were telling old and disabled people to 'get off their seats so they can sit down', and claiming teachers were unable to mark work or even carry their own bags.

And that's just a couple of examples.

So to those advising the OP to 'just leave it', of course she won't. She'll carry on starting threads like this, while munching popcorn and looking all innocent when it kicks off no doubt.

Listen ghosty I am with you. I have tried umpteen times to have this discussion on a dozen and one threads about Islam. It gets me no where. No matter how hard I try to be a voice of reason of explain anything about Islam I get rounded on and accusations of 'victimhood' come into play.
I've been on the roundabout many many times. There is no discussion to be had about Islam that is not going to descend into a criticism about the entire religion and the need for Muslims to 'get a clue'.

The OP knows this very well and has now decided to start another thread
