To be outraged when ladies don't wash their hands after the toilet?

It happens all the time, at work, at the gym, in restaurants, shopping centres......

Why do so many ladies use the loo then just flounce out of the toilet and give the sink a complete swerve?

Off they go back out into the world spreading their toilet germs from their hands onto unsuspecting people, it makes me so mad ð??¡

I just don't get it, what is it about soap and water that some of the population want to avoid after doing their business?? AIBU to get so angry about this?

I'm often allergic to the soap provided and keep anti-bac gel in my bag which I used after I've left the loos.

Really? I have never seen anyone do this! I just assume everyone washes their hands. Eeew. YANBU

Out of interest what do you think wpuld happen if you came into contact with any 'toilet germs'

I'm sure people think the same about me but I use an antibacterial gel. I often have my preschooler in tow and I'm trying not to lift him up to sinks etc as I'm pregnant & he's heavy!

Some people are just dirty feckers.. Another reason why my antibac always travels with me ha!

I use anti-bac gel when I come out of the toilets.
The germs on the door handles and taps put me off and I have dermatitis

Even worse is when they come out of the cubicle, do their hair and leave. Wee hair!

Yes it is disgusting. My mother always taught me to wash my hands. Why wouldn't you unless you had a skin condition like one of the other posters?

YANBU I see it all the time. But it doesn't make me angry anymore. I've accepted that very many people are just stupid and ignorant. So I take extra precautions for myself, carry hand wipes everywhere, try not to touch door handles etc. I also make passive aggressive comments - oh, sorry I didn't see you, you can wash your hands now. It works with maybe 10% of people....so I guess it just makes me feel better.

I wash in hot water only. The majority of soaps in public loos sends my eczema into overdrive.

So nope. I'm not going to start using soap just so I don't offend your sensibilities.

When I get home my hands get a thorough washing in soap that doesn't cause a flair up

What annoys me is that they then contaminate the door handle on the exit door, not so bad if it is a push door, you are a bit fucked when you have to pull the door to get out.

I absolutely can not stand it when people don't wash their hands. I particularly detest it when someone kindly offers to make you or your child some food or even offer to serve out a takeaway etc and jump on the food without even glancing at a tap. It's so rude and ignorant. You should always wash your hands. It's something you learn as a bloody toddler!!

Both me and ds are allergic to triclosan, and I we never use soap, especially liquid soap, when out and about unless we are very sure of what's in it. Lots of people are sensitive to triclosan, or other ingredients in soaps, and they might rinse with water rather than risk a reaction that could take weeks to settle down.

I carry wet wipes in my bag and use those. If I don't have any with me, I would wash with water only.

On the other hand... Some people are manky buggers :)

All of which will have been touched by others after using the lavatory for more than piss.

I was in the loos of The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine this very morning, and on the inside of the loo door was a notice with quotes from hygiene studies....

it was something like "one study of five UK cities showed that 38 per cent of commuters had fecal germs on their hands".

My hands got a good wash I can tell you!!

even a rinse with water is a good start, if you are allergic to soap.

Nope I don't wash my hands in toilets. I use anti bac gel, after I have left the toilet. There are germs on door handles too. Public bathroom soap always dries my hands out and makes them sore.

Unless you follow me out, you wouldn't know I had used and gel. Also, to be honest I couldn't care less if a woman I don't know was thinking I was dirty. Why would I give a shit what someone saw me for 3 seconds thinks?

yes it's horrible! watched the same when out at the weekend. lady and teen daughter holding hand unsoaped under water for 3 seconds. You probably don't wee on your hand but, you know, your hand is in your crotch area and wee can sometimes seep through loo roll!

I'm not opposed to hand washing. Standardly I do. But when In a hurry, hands full of DC etc I wouldn't bother and don't think its the end of the world. When we are all ill at home I am much more diligent about it but otherwise I really don't thibk it's the end of the world. As per a PP I geberally don't wee on my hands.

You might not, but some of the other people who used the loo might well have done, and then they will have touched the flush/door handles etc.

It's not that I think something is going to happen - it's just dirty,unhygienic and as I wash my hands,always, I definitely don't want someone else's toilet business passed on to me via their germy mitts.

I hand not thought about the Anti Bac solution some of you use.

But the majority I come across are just not bothering and it makes me sick
