To think changing your tampon in a gym change room is a bit foul?

I was at the gym earlier today, getting changed after my shower in the change room while chatting to a friend. A woman came out of the showers wrapped in her towel. Before my friend and I knew what was happening, she had whipped out her tampon and put it in the bin!

Hit post a bit too soon! Anyway, she then went on to insert a new one. AIBU to think that there's a time and place for changing your tampon and that place is the toilet, not a communal change room?

It is awful, sadly have experienced worse. Was in a changing room in Bravissimo once, they encourage you to leaf through their catalogues whilst you're changing to see what styles are available. Got partway through before finding someone had thoughtfully left their used tampon inside . I gave the book to the staff to dispose of, but felt violated iyswim, just beyond the pale! Agree the toilet is the only socially acceptable place for swapping feminine hygiene products. Shuddering at the memory...

The things I've seen in the gym change room - dirty underwear left lying around, soiled pantyliners in the shower - I don't know if all gyms are like that or whether mine just attracts particularly grubby women!

Am glad none of you think I was BU, I thought that someone would surely come on the thread and tell me to stop being a prude as its a natural function and nothing to be ashamed of!!!

Hah Saucy, I'm not but I almost wish I was! As Corpore has demonstrated, this seems to be sadly more widespread than you'd think.

I know of a very famous actress that did that while being fitted for a costume. I can't see her in a film now without thinking 'Ewwwwwwwwwwwww!'

I believe you, OP. I've found dirty nappies on the floor of swimming pool changing rooms. Used sanpro isn't a huge stretch of the imagination.
