My name is MrsTodd and I have never slept with Russell Brand

Tanith · 25/04/2015 12:24

Met Ieuan Evans (ex Welsh Rugby and now a presenter) at a signing event once. He was really lovely and so patient with my DS who was quite a star-struck little boy at the time Smile

DurhamDurham · 25/04/2015 12:25

Hello my name is DurhamDurham.

I have never met Anthony Head OR had sexual relations with Russell Brand.

I'll get my coat.......Grin

flugella · 25/04/2015 13:40

I will add myself to the list of those who have not had any form of sexual relation (or any other relation) with RB

PolkaDotsandPumpkin · 25/04/2015 13:48

Disclaimer: I totally would have had relations with RB, given the opportunity. Not so much now, but in earlier days....

PutWittyUsernameHere · 25/04/2015 13:48

Nope. No sex with Russell Brand for me.

Can't actually see his appeal...

Who's going to tweet Russell Brand, then? GrinGrin

ScooseIsLoose · 25/04/2015 15:49

I will any excuse Grin

Gruntfuttock · 25/04/2015 16:02

"If you knew the deeply terrible whispers about the footballer turned presenter (easily found via Google)"

I couldn't find a damned thing. I've tried rumours, secrets, and scandal after his name. What term should I have used?

redshoeblueshoe · 25/04/2015 16:07

Grunt - try Walkers Crisps Grin

Gruntfuttock · 25/04/2015 16:11

I know his name, I just can't find out what the rumours are about - yer great wet lettuce! Wink

redshoeblueshoe · 25/04/2015 16:24

Rumour has it - that he couldn't keep it in his pants cheated continuously on his first wife

EmeraldThief · 25/04/2015 16:27

The footballer allegedly had an affair with a well known female former glamour model who has written many books. She wanted to talk about their affair in her first autobiography but he put a gagging order on her.

crispandfruity · 25/04/2015 17:28

I witnessed Neil Tennant from the pet shop boys doing the whole 'do you know who I am' thing once. No one did.

I saw Sue Johnson in a petrol station at the height of Royal Family - she seemed very nice.

Sue Barker - she's very nice.

I know someone whose parents are friends with Chris Martin's parents. Apparently Chris and Gwynnie are both lovely.

ItsAllKickingOffPru · 25/04/2015 17:33

Pet Shop Boys' Chris Lowe was a lovely and polite little boy.

EElisavetaOfBelsornia · 25/04/2015 17:45

Germaine Greer is wacky and likes to provoke a reaction.
Clare Balding is lovely.
Simon Russell Beale is an arrogant git who thinks he can tap cigarette ash on people's carpets because he's famous.
John Prescott was very polite, and stocky rather than fat.
Ruth Kelly was very intense.
Boris Johnson is rude and childish.

catgirl1976 · 25/04/2015 18:01

Ok

These ones will show my age:

Jim Bob and Fruit Bat from Carter USM - lovely
Shed Seven - most of them lovely, Rick Witter and arse
Brett Anderson from Suede - Arse

These people live (or lived) in my town so see / saw them a lot:

Roy Walker - bit cheesey and sleazy but nice enough
Bill Beaumont - beefy, seemed ok
Les Dawson - seemed nice but I was pretty young
Colin Hendry - very quiet

I went to college with John Gomm - he was lovely, fancied my friend

Other I have met

Skin from Skunk Anasie - lovely
Iron Maiden (sans Bruce) - lovely
Rob Newman (ex-Newman and Baddiel) - awful - got drunk, moaned about how DB was more sucessful than him, had to hold his hair whilst he puked, propostioned me and a friend to a threesome (I declined, she stayed)

TooManyMochas · 25/04/2015 19:50

DH once had a long phone conversation with Cherie Blair for work. He didn't know who it was till he asked for her name and address at the end of the call to send her something and she said something like "erm, well, you won't believe this but...". She was very pleasant apparently.

Welshmaenad · 25/04/2015 19:57

I'm very pleased about the good Bill Bryson reports. He's my dream dinner date Grin

Also pleased to hear Skin is nice, she was my teenage heroine!

Welshmaenad · 25/04/2015 19:58

Also, I've never met AH which given the number of Buffy cons I went to in my youth is disappointing. I did bump into Emma Caulfield who played Anya in the loos at a conference centre in Blackpool and she was very down to earth and charming, and absolutely minuscule. I wanted to take her out for chips and feed her up a bit.

catgirl1976 · 25/04/2015 19:58

She was super nice Welsh - and she was fall-over-makingly stunning

ExitStageLeft · 25/04/2015 20:01

Years and years ago, my sister was working for the BBC in London while on a university placement and came home one night and said she'd met John Leslie and he'd really creeped her out. Tried to corner her and was really pervy. This was years before the whole Ulrika thing.

A friend of mine met Dermot O'Leary at a charity even and said he was a complete knobber. Turned up with loads of scantily dressed women and was a dick.

We met Hulk Hogan on a family holiday once and he was really lovely.

I also met Michael Palin and he was lovely. Bought me a drink and everything!

OhnowhatwasIthinking · 25/04/2015 20:11

Cate Blanchett was lovely and so we're her kids. Saw her at a London museum and she was just in the crowds and talking to her kids and queuing with the rest of us. Ridiculously, angel like beauty.

Emma Thompson was loud, loud, shouty, loud, held up the queue with constantly changing her mind about what she wanted to order. She was wearing sunglasses so seemed to want to be anon but then proceeded to make such a fuss everyone noticed her. She also had another 5 people with her who were also very loud. It was 2.30pm so maybe she had had a merry lunch.
And either Chas or Dave once opened a door for me in a pub. Whichever one it was he was lovely.

BestIsWest · 25/04/2015 20:19

DD has met Peter Capaldi twice. The second time he remembered her and asked after our little dog.

Bill Nighy stopped DS to ask directions and was subsequently mobbed by DS's Mates and posed patiently for selfies with them.

Both were lovely apparently as was Derren Brown when he was in the queue next to me at Coffee No 1.
