To shoot the sodding birds in the garden?

I have access to many relatives with gun licences.

Birds are little feckers who shit on the washing and tweet loudly thus disturbing my sleep.

They decimate my flower buds and, thus, reduce crops of cherries, plums etc.

Bastards.

I've often thought similar when I see my lovely white bedlinen covered in bird shite.

But then I see the wee tiny birdies and they're oh so cute. Aww, wee birdies Smile

I've been watching bluetits courting this afternoon. They were so lovely.

Salmotrutta · 03/04/2015 22:44

I think we have enough sparrows round here.

They don't add value.

If I had a gun and knew how to use it there would be a lot fewer magpies around here.

TamzinGrey · 03/04/2015 22:45

Yesterday I would have said that you WBVU but today I discovered that the little bastard sparrows who live in my garden have eaten every single flower bud from my Montana Clematis. Shoot the fuckers.

Salmotrutta · 03/04/2015 22:46

Last year I wanted to shoot the woodpigeon that took to perching on the roof edge over my door and crapping on my door step ....
A little bird shit I can cope with - Woodpigeon crap is huge (and people complain about dog/cats). A massive pile, everyday - it splattered up my door, the Dcs walked it in etc. Vile.

If it comes back again this year - and I've already seen pigeon shagging going on so I suspect it might - I may well resort to a violence...

SoMauve · 03/04/2015 22:58

That isn't even Big Bird! That's someone dressed as Big Bird

WineCowboy · 03/04/2015 22:59

That is terrifying!

BlackeyedSusan · 03/04/2015 23:00

wee? we have sodding great big seagulls and shite dolloped all over the grass. I could not find a space big enough for both of them to do handstands without risking bird shite in their hair. (they are crap at handstands as they are just learning and both are hypermobile and collapse in a tangled heap of arms and legs at preposterous angles) we alos have sodding great big rooks or summat similar cawing away at 5am.

Salmotrutta · 03/04/2015 23:00

Oooh.

unlucky that's probably why SoMauve wants to kill wood pigeons too.

Huzzah!!

Common ground Grin
