to ask where you went on honeymoon? and why?

As much as I'd love to head to say, st lucia, we are contemplating the Falklands as our honeymoon destination.

Where did you go?

Cornwall, for one week, in a cottage donated by a friend if DH's from uni.

We went to Italy - Pisa, Vienna and Cinque terre followed by 3 weeks in Peru.

Canada - East to west coast trip from Toronto to Vancouver Island. Was amazing.

The Ring of Kerry.
It was all we could afford, but was breathtakingly beautiful and weirdly for Ireland, hot and sunny.

We had out honeymoon 2 years ago as only then could we afford it. We spent 12 days in the Bahamas. Always wanted to go there

I went to, erm, St Lucia
It was lovely.

Austria. We both fancied the alps in summer.

Maldives, because we would never again be able to justify spending that kind of money on what is essentially a lazy beach holiday.

Thassos- tiny Greek island, hot, sunny, awesome cocktails!!

Lake District and Perthshire for a long weekend - couldn't get any longer off work at the time!

Camping in Scotland.

Was absolutely perfect. We were skint and in love, and the scenery is just breathtakingly beautiful.

Hawaii and San Francisco. It was where we fancied going, no other reason.

Kenya, Mombasa. Stayed in a beach resort and then went to Tsavo Park for a 3 day safari.

We both love big cats and wanted to go on safari. Kenya was cheaper than South Africa.

Really want to go back.

Darjeeling - DH is Indian and family live in Calcutta, we had 2 weeks back in Calcutta after we got married and 5 days in Darjeeling, in January. Stunning place but fricken freezing as they don't have central heating and it was seriously minus figures - imagine honeymoon wearing thermals and having a hot water bottle in bed - it was that cold!

Venice, lake Garda and then Innsbruck. Train between them. It was amazing. Couldn't bear a Caribbean package type thing.

We went to Wester Ross (way up northwest Scotland) in a house overlooking the summer Isles. We chose this because we had 18 month ds and didn't want the hassle and expense of flying abroad. We drove up.
It was lovely, we were lucky and had sun for 10 days straight . We went to deserted white sand beaches, ate in lovely cafés and pubs and spent hours looking at the view.

Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora. We had a small wedding, so decided to go all out for honeymoon, go somewhere special you wouldn't otherwise visit. Was indeed absolutely gorgeous.

The Gambia. Because we got married at the end of December and wanted to go somewhere warm, sunny and by the sea, but not too expensive.

It was lovely, especially the fried fish shacks.

The Maldives. I wanted to see it before it disappears.

The Amalfi Coast.

It looked beautiful in photographs, it was even more so in real life.

California- from San Francisco to Yosemite, down Big Sur into LA then down to San Diego and across to Las Vegas.

Maldives. We'd been the year before on a super cheap last minute deal in the lowest-rate accommodation and it's so breathtakingly beautiful we wanted to go back (different island though)
For honeymoon we stayed in a villa on stilts over the water and it was glorious.
