To wonder why there has STILL been no donation?

This has probably been done, I know there was a long running thread about this very subject but I can't find it?
So, several months on I see Dax's parents have still not made the promised donation to Ronald McDonald hospice. On March 2nd they updated the Facebook page to say they works be making the donation 'very soon', but still nothing.
Am I the only one thinking they have no intention of donating any money out of the tens of thousands donated to them? That in fact they intend to keep it all and deny the very charity that provided them with so much support in the early weeks of their Childs life?
In fact, I don't think im the only one judging by the comments on the Facebook page.
I think they're hoping it will blow over and if they keep quiet long enough people will forget.

Can you PM me please?!

wooldonor · 07/04/2015 18:26

I didn't know that kewtogetin, is that true for all donations to any charity? Do you have to write to them to get the information, definitely good to know, thanks

It is just a FB page originally set up by some Mumsnetters to discuss this case - it was set up back when the story first came to light.

kewtogetin · 07/04/2015 18:31

I see the dad has completely closed down his page. Was open this morning. Feel like a tool for flogging slices of cheesecake to your 'friends' do you lee???!

I would give them more time. It's been what? Two months since he came home

I've had a premature baby and I meant to wrote a complaint about my treatment. Six months later I realised I still hadnt written it and I was told (wrongly I've since found out) that I was too late. Two months isnt much at all in the grand scheme of things.

HouseBot · 07/04/2015 18:38

They are the ones who said they would be donating next week - we are not debating the timescale so much as whether in fact there is any money left to donate.

007JamesBond · 07/04/2015 18:40

What did you read, Spud? Can you PM me pls?

SuffolkNWhat · 07/04/2015 18:42

Ha! Yes to this!

And, err, Spud? Could I have a PM too please?

shadowfax07 · 07/04/2015 18:52

I haven't been blocked yet and I'm on the Scam of New York page too :-D

Let me know if you need a spy in the Dax campcamp ;-)

SoupDragon · 07/04/2015 18:53

I would give them more time.

Except they have had enough time to do interviews and appear on TV and an assortment of other things.

FryOneFatManic · 07/04/2015 19:00

Hi spudholes, I'd also be grateful for a PM. Thanks.

Even if they are legally just on the right side of the line, morally they have shown themselves to be grabby.

DragonWithAGirlTattoo · 07/04/2015 19:17

I'm there too

(Spud.... pm me pls)

passmethewineplease · 07/04/2015 19:17

what have you just read spud?!

Starlightbright1 · 07/04/2015 19:26

I would like a pm spud. I have been following from the beginning

wooldonor · 07/04/2015 19:32

The reason I feel very uncomfortable about this is the fact that they didn't need the money in the first place yet were quite happy to take it. I understand that a premature baby is a huge deal but it's unbelievable that in all this time they haven't had a chance to speak to the friend who set it up and ask for the money to be returned.

In the case of the fund for the pensioner who was mugged the amount donated became just too much so they stopped the fund and that was that.

This leaves a very nasty taste imo. If you've got time to update FB to say you'll make the donation next week you've got time to make it now. Surely it's just a few clicks and it's done.

DancingDays · 07/04/2015 19:39

Can I join the Spud PM list please.

Andylion · 07/04/2015 19:41

Spud I'm on the TD closed group - is that the one you are on?

Its usually pretty good at posting updates from the Dac page but haven't seen anything copied on there so would appreciate a pm when you have a moment please, thanks.

FryOneFatManic · 07/04/2015 19:55

Having seen spud's PM, I feel this guy is riding for a fall.

emwithme · 07/04/2015 19:57

I'm on both the "other" groups and banned from the Dax page (this is a bit like the whole "I've been bin bagged by Britain First" thing). Can I have a PM too please
