to not stop hanging my bras on the line

I'm in shock.

Beautiful day here. Was hanging out my washing and having a chat with next door neighbour who was out in the garden with her dd.

I pegged out 2 of my bras among everything else. Conversation was drawing to an end so I made to go back inside when she said 'oh I've been meaning to mention your underwear'

She went on to ask me refrain from hanging out my bras, her husband found them 'distracting'. I sort of when 'eh um eh' and she said 'well, cheerio, nice chatting' leaving me in the garden, puzzled.

I am an f cup but surely my bras aren't distracting. Her husband isn't in during the day. Wtf? They are similar in age to me, early 30s. Always been civil in the last 3 years they've lived next door, friendly but nit in and out of each other's houses or anything.

They are just normal bras!

I wonder what he thinks of your knickers

JeanneTheRabidFeminist · 19/03/2015 13:27

Wow. That's hilarious.

Does she realize she's just made her husband sound like a massive pervert?

Yangsun · 19/03/2015 13:27

Ridiculous, I would definitely continue hanging them out!

Eternity48 · 19/03/2015 13:27

She's crazy and probably very jealous.

leedy · 19/03/2015 13:28

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Her husband can't deal with SEEING A BRA? How on earth does he get through walking down the high street past M&S window displays? "OH MY GOD IT'S A BRA! I MUST LEAP INTO THE WINDOW AND START RUBBING MYSELF AGAINST IT WHILE THINKING ABOUT BOOBS!". Or is he like when Father Ted accidentally ended up in a lingerie department?

macmonkey · 19/03/2015 13:28

Bollocks to her. Tell her DH to look the other way. He's clearly spending all his free time ogling your scanties. Or maybe it's her. Jealous, much?

HubertCumberdale · 19/03/2015 13:29

Ha! That's great!
Of course you should continue putting your bras out to dry. I would also consider getting some really kinky stuff to hang out there too. You know, peep- hole bras, chain mail etc.

Imagine the look on her face if she went into the garden and saw two nipple tassels gently swaying in the breeze.

Jackieharris · 19/03/2015 13:29

Wtf!

I feel sorry for her having such an icky pervy husband.

leedy · 19/03/2015 13:29

Maybe her husband has previous convictions for stealing bras off washing lines?

HerdofAntilop · 19/03/2015 13:29

Maybe she could stick one of hers over his head to use as blinkers before he's allowed out in the garden?

FernGullysWoollyPully · 19/03/2015 13:29
Grin

I would definitely carry on hanging them out!

IvyWall · 19/03/2015 13:30

Lol Hubert

I just came back to post something similar

dementedpixie · 19/03/2015 13:30

buy the biggest cup size you can find and some giant knickers and hang them out every day whether they have been washed or not!

It's not your fault he is perving over your underwear

ladymariner · 19/03/2015 13:30

Think I'd be tempted to turf out my whole underwear drawer and hang the lot out all in one go....blow his mind!!! And hers Envy

notsolovely · 19/03/2015 13:30

Yanbu. Totally ridiculous. I suspect, said neighbour is jealous of your ample boobs and is insecure. Either that or her husband is a massive perv. Grin

Number3cometome · 19/03/2015 13:31

I'd buy something already own really x-rated.

Give it a wash and stick it on the line.

She is clearly jealous and I bet her hubby would be mortified if he knew she had said that!

babygiraffe86 · 19/03/2015 13:31

I'll bet its not her husband with the issue,

it'll be her who has the issue with her husband seeing your big boobie bras :)

Coffeethrowtrampbitch · 19/03/2015 13:31

Insane. Start pegging out leather and PVC harness style underwear, and if she complains, smile and say those ones belong to dh.

I'm totally gobsmacked by that though, what kind of person catches their dh oogling someone's underwear and decides the person who hung out the underwear is the one with the problem!?

BackCrackAndNappySack · 19/03/2015 13:31

You should have said 'if you can't trust him not to ogle them perhaps you should buy him some blinkers then.'

Bloody cheek.

ScotsWhaHae · 19/03/2015 13:31

He's at work Mon to Fri and I haven't exactly had lots of washing out the past few months.

They are just slightly greying m and s jobs, the odd fancier one but nothing outrageous.

I had no idea that there were men out there with an underwear magpie complex. They get easily distracted by lacy objects instead of shiny ones.

EvilTendency1 · 19/03/2015 13:33

Lol Hubert ??

SaucyJack · 19/03/2015 13:33

Women have tits. Who knew?!

ScotsWhaHae · 19/03/2015 13:33

And distracted from what? Looking at the rest of my washing?

My God, where do we go from here?

OP posts:
stealthsquiggle · 19/03/2015 13:34

Oh my word. She has just told you her husband is peeving of your bras. That is weird at so many levels.

Don't stop hanging out your bras. Do start avoiding your strange neighbours.
