to not stop hanging my bras on the line

I'm in shock.

Beautiful day here. Was hanging out my washing and having a chat with next door neighbour who was out in the garden with her dd.

I pegged out 2 of my bras among everything else. Conversation was drawing to an end so I made to go back inside when she said 'oh I've been meaning to mention your underwear'

She went on to ask me refrain from hanging out my bras, her husband found them 'distracting'. I sort of when 'eh um eh' and she said 'well, cheerio, nice chatting' leaving me in the garden, puzzled.

I am an f cup but surely my bras aren't distracting. Her husband isn't in during the day. Wtf? They are similar in age to me, early 30s. Always been civil in the last 3 years they've lived next door, friendly but nit in and out of each other's houses or anything.

They are just normal bras!

Not only should you hang out every bra you own - especially the saucy ones - you should substitute your clothes pegs for nipple clamps.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/8439446.stm Is this your neighbour?

emmelinelucas · 19/03/2015 20:54

I say that we should send our old bras to Scots.
If we appealed to all the folks on here, there would be hundreds in no time.
They would make quite a statement, all hung on the line/attached to the fencing/hanging from trees etc.
Could put them out last thing, and there they would be in all their glory, swinging in the breeze in the morning !
I'm up for it Smile

Careful hanging out nice stuff OP - mine got stolen from the washing line!

lomega · 19/03/2015 22:05

I can't stop laughing at this thread silently trying to bite down tears so I don't wake pfb up

LOVE the suggestion of putting really kinky things out there to dry. I reckon a pair of the raciest split-crotch panties would be fun.

Your neighbour sounds ridiculous, since it's presumably YOUR washing line, ignore her and carry on hanging your bras out to dry.

PedantMarina · 19/03/2015 22:07

Intersperse bras with Mumsnet t-shirts. At least one each of "Did you mean to be so rude?" and "ODFOD".

LilMissSunshine9 · 19/03/2015 22:10

You need to hang up a bra like this Grin does your neighbour have erm smaller breasts than you might explain why he likes to perv lol

WineIsMyMainVice · 19/03/2015 22:37

That's hilarious!!!! Is he a grown man or a 12 year old boy?????!!!?!!?!

RedSoloCup · 19/03/2015 23:20

This was shared by Mnet fb earlier and I told my DH who absolutely pissed himself, where else would you dry your underwear ???

AcrossthePond55 · 19/03/2015 23:46

Maybe you should hang some extra large jock-straps out and see if SHE is as easily 'distracted'. Or hang BOTH!! They'll be so, ahem, 'distracted' that the'll probably run inside and have the best shag of their lives!!!

AcrossthePond55 · 19/03/2015 23:47

PS I want that winky-bra!! Does it come with a battery powered lid that opens and closes? It should!!!

Didactylos · 19/03/2015 23:49

go lacier and racier?

or complain gently to her that the sight of his smalls hanging on her line makes you weak at the knees and you cannot be responsible for the consequences?

CupidStuntSurvivor · 20/03/2015 01:07

Solution A) hang sex toys from the line. Or kitchen utensils. Or cups. Anything really. When she asks why, explain it was to stop her husband looking at your bras.

Solution B) hang all your bras at once. You don't have to wash them all...only a particular breed of weird pervert neighbour would come into your garden to check that they're damp.

FatCunt · 20/03/2015 01:23

You won't catch me hanging my bras outside.

They cost twice what any other clothes I own cost. Grin

sykadelic · 20/03/2015 03:00

If you didn't like your neighbours I'd suggest that you went to a second-hand store and buy all the cheap bras they have and hang them... or post on FB for all your GF's to bring a bra or 2 over next weekend :P

FWIW I don't ever hang my bras outside for this exact reason. I don't need some creepy person checking out my underwear/bra size :S (and my neighbour is WEIRD!)

Another day, another load, another bra. Let's hope he can cope!

Bloody hell, I bet the poor bloke has to ask permission to do anything. Sounds like she's very much in control in that house. Would definitely continue and escalate but would reconsider any potential summer bbq invites you were likely to proffer their way!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 20/03/2015 09:14

It's her that has the issue. Is she small chested. She might be suffering from boob envy.

ChrisMooseAlbanians · 20/03/2015 10:12

This thread is hilarious Grin

Flyinggeese21 · 20/03/2015 13:10

Glad you didn't change what you hang on the line OP. This really made me giggle:'oh I've been meaning to mention your underwear'. What?! Would love to be a fly on the wall in their house. Husband unable to focus, bumping into things, getting 'distracted'. Going to wash the bra oh I mean car, to get a better look.

OnlyLovers · 20/03/2015 13:12

Alice, that's outrageous!
