Text convo with a friend this morning. Said I'd watched Serenity again last night party animal here. She said she couldn't believe I could watch that film so often.

But... but... It's Captain Tightpants.

Come on, it's not possible to overwatch this show, is it?

I finally convinced a reluctant DH to give Firefly a go (he watched Serenity first and he said the plot confused him) He was a huge Red Dwarf fan so I knew if he gave it a try he would enjoy it.

I was right.

Tragically my geek, sci-fi and fantasy loving DP has never entirely warmed to Firefly. I don't know why it may have something to do with my blatant perving. It's a serious bone of contention.

Luckily he does many evening and night shifts so I can just sit alone and enjoy myself.

Just watched Firefly and Serenity a few months back at dh's insistence - he LOVES them! I enjoyed them, Nathan Fillion is indeed HOT! Struggled with the first episode though (the one with the battle at the beginning and then they aren't rescued) - later episodes where you get to know the characters are great.

If I was to get one of the comic books for dh, can anyone post a link to the first one - preferably on Amazon, as I have vouchers, but any site will do? Thanks.

I loved Castle, and now need to go back and watch the episode where he wears the coat!

I watched the film before the show. There's a scene where Mal is in bed wearing very little. I remember that was the exact moment I decided I liked the film very much indeed...

Not particularly feeling the love for Nathan Fillion - nice chap, by all accounts - but when it comes to the 'verse, Wuh duh ma huh tah duh fong kwong duh wai shung my coat is ruttin' brown.
