to think it really isn't possible to watch Serenity/Firefly too many times

Text convo with a friend this morning. Said I'd watched Serenity again last night party animal here. She said she couldn't believe I could watch that film so often.

But... but... It's Captain Tightpants.

Come on, it's not possible to overwatch this show, is it?

I love Firefly so much I even have a Firefly tattoo! I knew DP was the one when he made a reference to being a brown coat Smile

yanbu. I can't watch serenity without putting firefly on straight afterwards so I can pretend nothing bad happened to wash. leaf on the wind

YADNBU. I must confess that I only watched FF & Serenity in the last 18 months or so, DH watched them when they were originally on (and wonders why Fox hates JW so much they keep cancelling him and why JW keeps going back to them!) and has the DVDs.

Saw Serenity the other day (only the third time I've seen it) and was nearly sobbing from the beginning, cos I knew what was going to happen.

I have no idea. There was a fight, their rescue ships flew off rather than rescuing them. Now it's six years later and they're on a space ship.

I'm not loving it yet.

I've made a deal with DH, next Comic Con we can get to I'll dress in one of those original Star Trek tunics but he has to dress as Mal Grin
He's never seen any of it and doesn't even like science fiction and I'm about half way through the series but I was hooked from the start. Serenity was an absolute gut kicker... Sad
Nathan Fillion could not get any hotter!

I love Firefly and Serenity. I too was up late last night watching it.

You can be sure that Joss Whedon will tell you a fabulous story.

RufusTheReindeer, we thought we'd give it a go with our 11 and 8 year old as we're desperate to do a re-watch. After all, the Marvel films are 12 and they're okay with those . . .

Got to the first scene with Inara and we were both making a dive for the remote to switch it off. Grin

Gonna have to give it few more years. Sad

Rufus - we're currently about 1/2 way through firefly with dd who is 12 nearly 13. Mostly absolutely fine, though the last episode we watched was too violent for her (and me - only DH made it all the way through - the one where Wash insists on going on a mission with Mal instead of Zoe).

Forget Mal, he's too annoying. I'm in love with Kaylee Grin

He's very right wing, I don't agree with his politics but I wouldn't describe him as vile.
