to think it really isn't possible to watch Serenity/Firefly too many times

Text convo with a friend this morning. Said I'd watched Serenity again last night party animal here. She said she couldn't believe I could watch that film so often.

But... but... It's Captain Tightpants.

Come on, it's not possible to overwatch this show, is it?

Dh has a leaf on the wind t-shirt, an actual leaf picture over the silhouette of Serenity. Never met anyone else irl who gets it.

Firefly is what the star wars prequels should have been.

Wanders off singing...you can't take the sky from meee. ..

Today I wore my 'Kaylee's Shiny Vehicle Repair' t-shirt. I got a 'Leaf On The Wind' t-shirt from OH for my birthday last year, we are most definitely Browncoats! Kaylee was shortlisted for DD's middle name (we went for a Battlestar Galactica first name instead!)

Carry on chatting here, and possibly report and get the thread moved somewhere more relevant.

I was really surprised (in a good way) by rebels. It has the space cowboy vibe of firefly with similar characters. I never warmed to clone wars possibly because I always found padme and Anakin dull as fuck

We were on for Nathan for a boy as dh didn't fancy malcom for some reason, but ended up with 2 dds (neither called kaylee, but zoe came close)

Wildfire think that bottom quote is my favourite too. Pretty much anything wash said tbh!

Weirdly Nathan was a choice for DS1 too. And in my fug of hormones I considered Inara if DS2 turned out to be a girl.

It's like a secret indicator of browncoat-ness: You will know firefly fans by the fact they almost named their sons Nathan.

I watched Serenity twice this week because it was on tv, even though I own the DVD.

It physically hurts my heart that there was no more Firefly.

I was thinking we need a weekly rewatch like the X Files thread - but I know I couldn't just watch one episode, I have to gorge on Firefly...

Trying to work out the best line. I do have a weak spot for the bit in the film between Kaylee and Mal - "It's been going on a year now I haven't had nothing between my legs ain't run on batteries", purely for Mal's reaction.

And of course Wash's "I've been in a firefight before. Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired... from a fry cook opportunity."

I have had the fruity oaty bar theme tune as my ring tone since the film came out. Omg is it ten years since serenity came out this year?

Hmm. Maybe we should have one. Though I might bring it down simply to the level of 'Mal looked hottest in that third scene, in the blue shirt.' Wink

I love Nathan Fillion. I love Firefly and Castle equally. I could watch both series over and over. Nathan Fillion is just brilliant with the jokes and is just so lovely.
