I have to leave for work at 6am. He will be looking after our dc (7,5,3) all day until 9pm. He has gone out after work as it is his last day there. I warned him I was working. He is terrible for not waking up after a drink. I am worried I will not be able to go to work if he is much later Confused

OP posts:

Yes, because I was speaking to Writer. I hadn't counted how many "male" posters there were on the thread, I saw it last night when Martin was being an arse and thought I'd posted, but perhaps not? My comment was a general one about how trolls like to wind people up on threads like this just for the sport of it. Martin knows perfectly well that op's dh was an utter arse. He's just here for the laffs.

RandomNPC · 23/02/2015 10:17

I think Martin has buggered off elsewhere, thankfully.

Cheers!

Arsenic · 23/02/2015 10:17

Ok Minty.

I wasn't kicking off or owt.

Arsenic · 23/02/2015 10:18

I will picture you with both pipe and fishnets from now on Random Smile

EponasWildDaughter · 23/02/2015 10:18

''I tend to 'read posts from a male perspective' by nodding sagely while sucking on a pipe.''

Grin
RandomNPC · 23/02/2015 10:20

What, like Graham Chapman Arsenic?

Arsenic · 23/02/2015 10:21

Exactly like that Grin

PeaceOfWildThings · 23/02/2015 11:12

Martin, on the other hand, is clearly too sensible to smoke a pipe, so I shall be picturing him in fishnets and a tutu from now on, delivering his messages from a lecturn.

PeaceOfWildThings · 23/02/2015 11:16

"I wonder how they'd feel if the night before they had to go to work their DW went out on the piss all night knowing full well she was looking after the children the next day. And if that wasn't bad enough, how would they feel if they were supposed to leave for work at 7am, which their DW knew, but she still wasn't even home at that time and hadn't made any effort to contact home.

I'm sure if the guy had to phone in sick to work because of his DW's actions they wouldn't be quite so nonchalant about it."

Exactly.

Arsenic · 23/02/2015 11:32

I doubt Martin has legs as shapely as Random's somehow.

cosmicboy · 23/02/2015 13:51

Martin, may I politely suggest that you check your posts before posting. It does somewhat spoil your otherwise 'delightful' posts.

Its 'thoughtless' rather than 'unthoughtful' Hope that helps.

Cheers Grin

ilovesooty · 23/02/2015 15:10

With any luck Martin has been banned.

MartinJD · 23/02/2015 23:15

We can only work with the information we have to hand. IE the information the OP has given. The OP's parter was in the wrong, but crucially (and here's the key point that some of you are seemingly failing to comprehend) this was an isolated incident. .

Again, as far as we know, the bloke isn't a piss artist. There wasn't a masochistic pre intent on trying to "sabotage" his wife's career or any other codswallop i've read from the small pitchfork brigade.

People get drunk, people make mistakes. Live is to short to get hung up on this stuff.

Cheers, and HAGO!

MartinJD · 23/02/2015 23:16

ilovesooty: thanks for your concern, but no. Now relax, take a deep breath, and have a fab evening!

Cheers!

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 23/02/2015 23:39

Please please tell me wtf is with the "cheers" I am weeping with laughter at the sheer ludicrousness of it as a suffix...

CHEERS!

FitzgeraldProtagonist · 23/02/2015 23:45

It is so inappropriate! It's like saying: "Sorry your dog died/you got mugged/broke your best China etc" then yelling "Cheers!"
