Actually I don't believe I am being unreasonable. But wanted to bring it to attention.

MN seems to be a quiet on this today but I think the fight should still go on. I can't link to it as I am so not tech savvy enough but it is on change.org. (Same person whk set up the Sheffield Weds one so of you sogned that one it is pretty easy to locate).Already has over 9000 signatures so please please please continue to sign and share!

MM1 - why don't you think he raped his victim?

he should start by apologising to his victim for her suffering at his hands and those of his supporters

He will never do that as, in his eyes he has done nothing wrong.

He believes there was no rape. Apparently forcing yourself on an incapaciated female is acceptable asshole !!!!!!!!!!

MinnieM1 · 04/01/2015 20:53

I didn't realise he was still serving his sentence, I thought if you're released from prison then you're done so apologies I'm being a bit blonde there
So next year, when he's served his sentence, will you all have a problem with him working then?

LineRunner · 04/01/2015 20:53

Well, yes. The vile can only defend the vile.

AuntieStella · 04/01/2015 20:54

It has passed 15,000

ShumbTucker · 04/01/2015 20:54

Everyone knows it's easy to get a job Daisy. Didn't you hear? He could be working at a McDonalds by the weekend. Smashing news.

PuffinsAreFictitious · 04/01/2015 20:54

MinnieM1

Well I don't think it was rape either but that's beside the point

Well, at least you got something right.

I don't get the problem? Is he not allowed to work ever again?

Yes, as detailed, do you not read before you comment?

I don't agree with his fans hounding the girl by the way but again it wasn't him, blame the people that actually did it!

Ok, I'll blame his mother, sister, girlfriend, her family and everyone else that he has encouraged to harass his victim by saying NOTHING to get them to stop.

cricket

Puffin - would you know if a tradesman in your house was a convicted rapist?

Yes, because any company I have working in my house has to have had their tradesmen checked. It's not difficult.

elfycat · 04/01/2015 20:55

errr, it asks for another 10k supporters it seems.

Possibly because there are tiers of involvement with petitions. 15k will be enough to activate something. If it gets to 100k do you think the backbenchers might have to discuss it?

TheOfficialPan · 04/01/2015 20:56

MM1 - he is still serving his sentence until April 2017. Thereafter he will still probably meet up with barriers to employment as a footballer.

YonicSleighdriver · 04/01/2015 20:57

Auntie, nothing much, I think- you have to set a target on change when you start a petition.

It's not a parliamentary issue elfy so I don't think it's anything to do with them. Just sending a message to Oldham and its sponsors.

Mm1, anyone out of their trade for two years or more owing to a serious criminal conviction would also find it hard to get work. Do you campaign for all them too? Recommend to your employer or to family and friends running businesses that they take them on?

elfycat · 04/01/2015 20:59

I was kind of joking about Parliament. Shame though.

YonicSleighdriver · 04/01/2015 21:00

Grin there is an official site where that happens - though I think government watch Change just as closely!

SoggyOldBiscuit · 04/01/2015 21:01

Thank you for sharing that Minnie Hmm

MinnieM1 · 04/01/2015 21:02

Yonic I'm not campaigning for anyone?! Confused

Soggy someone asked me, so I answered, not sure why that's a problem?

cricketballs · 04/01/2015 21:03

Puffin - you do realise that these checks are out of date the day after they are done?

LineRunner · 04/01/2015 21:03

Oh Minnie, I think you have a Ched-genda.

SoggyOldBiscuit · 04/01/2015 21:04

That was with reference to the sweet little story you shared about you and your DP.

TheOfficialPan · 04/01/2015 21:04

MM1 - I thought you would be trying to partially re-hash the evidence that had been put before a jury. The jury members heard all of the evidence and the summing up by the defence barrister and still convicted him 'beyond reasonable doubt'. But apparently you would know better. Is that right?

SlightlyJadedJack · 04/01/2015 21:04

Signed. I'm not going to rise to MM1's victim blaming other than to say you disgust me.

AWholeLottaNosy · 04/01/2015 21:05

Minnie, you need to read the trial transcripts and GET YOUR FUCKING FACTS STRAIGHT! She didn't 'cry rape', she woke up the next morning aware that she had pissed herself and vomited in her bed. She had no recollection of what had happened. She called the police. It was CCTV evidence, testimonies of hotel staff and Ched Evan's own police interview that convicted him.

Shame on you.
