(Same person whk set up the Sheffield Weds one so of you sogned that one it is pretty easy to locate).Already has over 9000 signatures so please please please continue to sign and share!

ghostyslovesheep · 04/01/2015 21:21

no I am guessing you are being reported for making nasty suggestions about a victim of rape and generally being goady and stupid

hth

MinnieM1 the jury found she was too drunk to consent based on a range of evidence including the testimony of the hotel porter. She fell over, left her bag in the takeaway, Evans' codefendant told the hotel staff to look out for her when he was leaving. She didn't make a complaint of rape she said she couldn't remember what had gone on. It was Evans who told police he had sex with her and the circumstances, not her. He was charged on the basis of his own evidence, such is his ignorance of the reality of rape. The jury in his case found that his victim was too drunk to consent. They conceded that the codefendant may have reasonably believed she consented - because she willingly went back to the hotel with him etc, but they didn't accept that Evans (who just turned up and joined in halfway through) could reasonably have believed she consented. You should read the transcript of the application for appeal www.crimeline.info/case/r-v-ched-evans-chedwyn-evans before you make up your mind.

Anybody think Rolf Harris, DLT, Stuart Hall should resume their broadcasting careers? Maybe do a rerun of Jim'll Fix It?

If I had a conviction even for a lesser crime than his, I would not be allowed to resume my career - as would most people.

He is a convicted rapist and most people would not want any association with someone who could commit such a vile crime but seemingly some people think the footballer status somehow wipes away all what he has done.

AWholeLottaNosy · 04/01/2015 21:22

Sadly tho, I don't think Minnie's views are that uncommon. Which is why they need to be challenged, whether goady, MRA, troll or just an ignorant idiot...

minnie when Ched Evans decided that he was goin to have sex with that woman (and his decision was so secure that he turned his taxi around and lied to get a room key) HE HAD NEVER EVEN MET HER.

There was then, according to his evidence a period of 'a minute or two' between entering the hotel room and meeting this woman for the first time, and him penetrating her with his penis.

Now personally, I don't think 'a minute or two' is enough time to
a) decide whether you are even sexually attracted enough to someone to want to have sex with them
b) decide if they are in a fit state to consent to have sex with you (and lets not forget this was 4am on a Sunday mornin in Rhyl town centre so the chances of the girl being really drunk were, lets face it, incredibly high).

In fact this girl was so 'up for it' that having shagged her himself and then left her for his mate to have a go on, Clayton Macdonald told the night porter to keep an eye on her because she was 'ill'. And we all know that 'ill' girls are the most up for it out of anyone Hmm

Plus the circumstances by which the police actually came to know about all this which I assume that you, as someone who is making the assertions that you are, must be fully aware of.

clam · 04/01/2015 21:32

Minnie, what is it that you're not understanding about the fact that she did not cry rape?
Evans was convicted by his own testimony to the police. They decided he had raped her, and therefore pressed charges. His victim did not.

forumdonkey · 04/01/2015 21:33

He has been convicted of rape, he is a convicted rapist. Is MM1 his sad, pathetic GF who could do with a shot of self respect and self esteem?

MinnieM1 · 04/01/2015 21:33

Everything I've said here I've said 'could have' I don't know anything 100%, I'm not accusing the girl if anything I'm saying it possibly could have all happened another way
I also stated twice that the goings on if that night were very seedy and gross and i don't condone any of it, legal or otherwise
Not sure why everyone else is allowed an opinion in this and I'm not

DawnMumsnet · 04/01/2015 21:39

Evening all,

Thanks for all your reports about this thread.

This seems like an appropriate time to link to our We believe you campaign - it contains a handy list of the rape myths we're challenging.

Willferrellisactuallykindahot · 04/01/2015 21:40

You are allowed an opinion minnie, but you need to look up the definition of 'rape'.

Do you not think that the actions of Ched Evans that night are the actions of a sexual predator?

If Evans signs to Oldham, can the bosses there be completely sure that their female staff are safe? That, after a team party or whatever, he won't gain access to their hotel room without their consent? Because that is what he did that night, and he doesn't seem to think that there is anything wrong with that?
