Dh is a running fanatic, goes out most days but every couple of months I do notice these white stains.

Never said anything to him, should I or just keep quiet? Great relationship and no issies

What sort of stains, could be chalk or paint from a running pitch if stretching etc before running.

I get white marks when I go running around the football pitch from the white lines when I stretch flake out on the ground from exhaustion could it be that?

I think you are being too suspicious most people run late or early as it is quieter and to avoid disrupting the day. The white stains could be anything. Do you have any other reason to be suspicious of him?

Are you sure they aren't sweat stains? Salt leaves white marks.

I think the problem is not the stains, but that you are having suspicions.
