Signed up for a new name, but very regular poster.

Dh is a running fanatic, goes out most days but every couple of months I do notice these white stains.

Never said anything to him, should I or just keep quiet? Great relationship and no issies

Honestly, if this is a genuine thread you really need to think about your relationship should continue.

It's sweat. Neck, shoulders and back are prime areas for sweating when you're training hard. Sweat dries to form whitish stains.

Oh yes, seagulling - very popular. Same as dogging, but they do it on the beach, with seabirds.

Seagulling? Is that a thing?

Could well be dried sweat. Also lots of anti perspeirants can leave white marks, especially if he's sweat excessively and it has all soaked into his running gear.

That's called Snot Rockets ATruth - and it's not just men in my experience

I've not read the thread bit snot? My nose runs when i do

It's snot isn't it? He must do that horrid snorting thing that some men do. I'd LTB for that tbh.

is someone seagulling him as he runs?

Report
LilMissSunshine9 · 04/01/2015 22:19

Could be dried sweat with grit in it - when I cycle esp in summer for long rides I come back and my face has marks on it where really fine grit has dried on my sweaty face - grim I know but its hot and you sweat and it dries!

Surely you'd just ask him before posting on here?

Report
MsVestibule · 04/01/2015 22:06

Has been over the shoulders, the collar and down the back

Can you think of any reason he may have been lying down on his back on the chalked out bits on a football field? It's the only explanation...

Seriously, please tell us why you won't ask him. Do you genuinely suspect he's being unfaithful?

I think he runs along the beach and it's seagull poo.

Over his back and shoulders is definitely sweat! The salt leaves a tide mark as it dries.

Are you honestly worried that it could be anything else?

Report
ZingTheGreat · 04/01/2015 20:59

of course he may have taken his top off and left it on a bench, did his running, went back to fetch it then realised a family of snails had wriggled their tiny little arses across it, leaving their trademark silvery slime

PacificDogwood · 04/01/2015 20:59

Yy ask him.

I'd worry more about the trust issues between you than the stains tbh.

There are some cruel posters on here. Another vote for salty sweat streaks, which can appear anywhere, not just armpits.

just ask him already

He's not an amphibian is he? They fertilise externally, so far as I'm aware.

I think OP is worried her DH is receiving bumsex in doggy position and the other guy is pulling out and spunking on his back and shoulders.

It would smell if it was OP, smell it. But it's most likely sweat.

I run - when I go for a v long run or its been really hot, when my kit has dried a little, the salt/sweat leave a white mark. Evenget it on my face at times...and I tell you now when I have run for 13miles, anything you are suggesting is very much at the back of my mind!!

Stealthpolarbear · 04/01/2015 20:39

Has he been rolling in white dog poo?

Report
KatieKatie1980 · 04/01/2015 20:33

Maybe he wipes himself down with it after the run? Bit of an odd place for deodorant so I'd say sweat.

Any other odd behaviour to make you worried?

If he was up to something though, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be keen on you doing his washing!

Op, you say your relationship is a happy one, do you trust him? Bi or not,I wouldn't think anything of the stains you describe, if it's bothering you enough, ask him.

Report
Bean89 · 04/01/2015 19:34

I thought you were going to say the stains were on his crotch, which I could maybe kiiiiiind of see why you'd find them suspect, but unless he's shown a predilection to getting his shoulder jizzed on I think you're alright.

Oh, yes that will be come from gay sex in the woods. - Not!

But you need to sniff it to be sure. You'll be able to tell if it's semen, snot, sweat or juice he's poured over himself to know for sure.

But I'm not sure why you haven't asked him...do you really think he's going to say "Oh, yes, that got on there when I was passing a couple dogging not far away, and I decided to join in"

Not likely!
