Oi! Steady with the 'twits' in plural - it was only one poster who said that!

Shyness is not arrogance, shyness is not being able to go in a room full of people without feeling sick with nerves - and other feelings, some more extreme, a friend of mine doesn't go to mass celebrations at her work because they always involve food and she doesn't eat in front of other people, she's too shy to do that and is nearly in tears if she is forced to do it.

you sound very caring abour your friend lobster, and that is great but she does sound like she has an issue that needs help to overcome. Being unable to eat in front of people is more than just 'shyness' and her life must be very limited by it.

TheFourthLobster · 24/12/2014 13:24

I'm not sure the issue is to do with the food, it's just another way she thinks that people will be judging her from what I can gather.
