Romeo Beckham gets £45 grand for a days work.

How much does this family need. Burberry have paid 12 year old Romeo £45.000 for one days work modeling. I don't wear Burberry myself but if I did that would probably put me off ever buying it again. How far will this family go for publicity and money. Small change to them though. But isn't there something wrong when a 12 year old gets in one day what it might take most of us a year or two to earn?

Have you seen the monumental crap Vivienne Westwood creates?

You pity the family that have millions in the bank, have 4 healthy and seemingly happy well adjusted kids not to mention the dad is a living god whose sweat I would lick!!Wink

Blimey you set the bar high.

TSSDNCOP · 12/11/2014 19:16

Whilst she made him a fecking fortune being papped in a Galaxy dresses. Clearly they had an arrangement that suited both.

velourvoyageur · 12/11/2014 19:17

I think ourbaby has probably had a bad day with someone saying harsh undeserved stuff to her, this thread probably struck a nerve and doesn't need everyone piling in on her. just sayin'

Mintyy · 12/11/2014 19:17

OP might not turn down £45,000 for two days work because 1. she is an adult and therefore needs to earn money to live on 2. presumably she doesn't have hundreds of millions of pounds in the bank.

It is not a valid question and totally beside the point.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/11/2014 19:17

Nancy I know that Simon Fuller also represents Roland Mouret but is that a true fact about him designing her initial collections?, they were very similar, I agree.

FreudiansSlipper · 12/11/2014 19:18

He is a child not an adult he should not have a value on him

No child should be paid such obscene amounts of money

OwlCapone · 12/11/2014 19:19

Did the Beckhams demand that amount from Burberry or is it what Burberry said they would pay?

Bowlersarm · 12/11/2014 19:19

Why not freudian?

Sparklingbrook · 12/11/2014 19:19

If I was Romeo i would just be glad to be doing a job taking my mind off the fact my Dad models undercrackers on billboards for a living.

Mintyy · 12/11/2014 19:19

Well, I hope that's an explanation for it! Because from where I'm standing ourbabybeau seems to be BULLYING by SHOUTING DOWN anyone who thinks the op inbu.

velourvoyageur · 12/11/2014 19:20

I think it is a valid question because the temptation is there for anyone. It would take a saint to turn that down because some vocal minority are putting the pressure on and saying it's the right thing to do.

ourbabybeau · 12/11/2014 19:20

Mintyy what is saying that Romeo will see a penny of his parents money? My parents never gave me anything and while they weren't as wealthy as the Beckhams had plenty to give out if they wanted to.

Maybe- just maybe- they want him to make his own money? Maybe VB is going to pop off to Hamleys with him and buy the shop- or maybe she will put it in a savings account for his future. Who are we to judge and decide?

And who on earth is anyone to decide "you earn enough money"- would people still have that opinion if they were offered a salary raise? Or would they turn it down because their manage to get by OK?

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/11/2014 19:20

velourvoyageur ourbaby hasn't received a pasteing at all but her comments were uncalled for regardless of her sensitivity about the thread.

You know her personal circumstances?

TSSDNCOP · 12/11/2014 19:20

No Mintyy, I asked if she'd turn it down if her kid was offered the same.

In addition, the campaign is actually a mini film. Romeo is great and credited with being a pleasure to work with. I imagine film projects are being considered.

Let the frothing commence!

OwlCapone · 12/11/2014 19:20

presumably she doesn't have hundreds of millions of pounds in the bank.

I'd guess RB also doesn't have millions of pounds in the bank.

And other people have asked op if she would turn it down herself. I didn't see your post TDSSDNCOP.

Mintyy · 12/11/2014 19:22

Ah, I geddit. You're one of them there internet sprites come to play games aren't you?

Nancy66 · 12/11/2014 19:23

Stillysaying - no, can't see it's a 'true fact' 'cos that would take one or other of them to admit it which they're never going to do

velourvoyageur · 12/11/2014 19:23

StillStaying
don't know anything about ourbaby except she seems a bit upset
i shouldn't interfere, you're right :)

atoughyear · 12/11/2014 19:23

I can't understand parents who want their dc to be models, never mind parents who are as rich and famous as the Beckhams.

porgie80 · 12/11/2014 19:23

Why do people continue to insist on feeding the trolls? I'm baffled.

RabbitOfNegativeEuphoria · 12/11/2014 19:23

All WORK has a value. Nobody should be expected to work for free. Should he be doing child modelling? That's a different question entirely. I'm far from convinced he should be. But if he IS, and it's worth £45k (or, realistically, much much more) to Burberry then why shouldn't he be paid that? Why should a child's rights be less than yours or mine?

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 12/11/2014 19:23

ourbabybeau now you're just being a nasty cow.
