I would be mortified if dh was uploading videos of me in labour onto Facebook!!! Why would you do that to your wife? Am confused!

Your not you're.

Pointlessfan · 28/10/2014 13:30

This is on the lunchtime news ffs!

MiddletonPink

There you go worrying about me again...

Not an over investment in him, perhaps an over investment to make people see that the way a couple decide to behave during labour - when it isn't hurting anyone - is not really worthy of all the hate & bile spewed forward on this thread, towards a couple that we don't even know.

Similarly, would you say that anyone on the thread about Ched Evans has an over investment in hoping he doesn't win his appeal, or that the world continues to know he is a rapist? Or can you not get over invested in those issues?

Is it an over investment to be on a thread with almost a 1000 posts discussing any one of a million things? I am talking about an issue, which is what we do on here.

You don't like Robbie...we get it. Then why don't you find another thread instead of patronising me with the extent of your worry about me...Because I really don't give a shit.

His poor wife! Why is she poor? Did you watch all the videos? She was enjoying herself at times too.

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 13:40

Christ Different are yout this uptight in RL.

Discussing Ched Evans and the fact that he raped a vulnerable 19 year old is of course very different to Robbie and his ego and there are many reasons why someone might over invest on a thread regarding him.

DuelingFanjo · 28/10/2014 13:59

I'm not a 'Robbie fan' - I am indifferent, but I do know that different people do different things and it's clear that his wife was ultimately fine with the videos.

It's a bit weird making assumptions about their choices - they are two adults who presumably talk to each other and were in this together so it's not worth stressing about.

KirjavaTheCorpse · 28/10/2014 14:00

Deary me. Sense of humour fail on a mumsnet scale.

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 14:00

Uptight because I think the vitriol here is OTT & that a woman is quite capable of choosing that for her impending birth? OK then!

And do you always try to infantalize women & portray them as people who don't know what they want during their own labour in RL?

carlsonrichards · 28/10/2014 14:03

He came across as an attention-seeking, immature, low-rent twonk, but hey, she went along with it. Pays for her lip fillers and Louboutins better than all the acting she does.

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 14:08

I haven't mentioned anything about his wife?

clam · 28/10/2014 14:14

I just watched those videos (had only seen one prior to the link on here). I think it was done with tongue firmly in-cheek and was funny.
His deadpan expression when she was dancing in front of him was great.

Lighten up, people. She doesn't look at all downtrodden to me.

Mammanat222 · 28/10/2014 14:14

Now I know why I have the fucking song "Candy" in my head.

Well done RW, you somehow managed to get me to listen to your crap music

(via GMTV before anyone says "but you didn't have to watch the videos")

.. and I am well aware I should have turned my TV off too if I was so offended but I didn't so hey ho.

squoosh · 28/10/2014 14:15

I'd rather be married to Vladimir Putin.

And I don't imagine life chez Putin would be a barrel of laughs.

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 14:18

Grin squoosh

TheWholeOfTheSpook · 28/10/2014 14:19

I thought the one of her dancing at him with the drip in her arm was very funny. Labour can be boring as Hell so why not have some fun while you're doing it?

VenusRising · 28/10/2014 14:19

Well that's fine Squoosh, Vladimir has got a young gymnast wife, so I guess he's all sorted out on that front.
And Robbie Williams has a wife who "gets" him, so there isn't a vacancy there either.

clam · 28/10/2014 14:20

Likewise the one where he stops for breath in the corridor.
And fusses about his waistband.

Fifibluebell · 28/10/2014 14:21

God forbid anyone have a different sense if humour and I'm pretty sure the second she gyrated her bump in front of him she consented to the videos! The last video where they both announced the birth she seemed pretty happy that they shared the moment!

Itsfab · 28/10/2014 14:22

YABU

A lot of stupid fuss about nothing.

She obvious was fine with being filmed and it being shown so save your confusion and whatever else you are feeling for something relevant.

She doesn't need anyone's pity. She seems happy and in love with him and he, her.

treaclesoda · 28/10/2014 14:25

squoosh Grin

Although I wholeheartedly agree.

Also, can you imagine being one of Robbie Williams kids?

It's your first day at school, you're all nervous. Dad bursts into song and puts his arm round your teacher, and then the touching home video is posted on YouTube for all to see. Never mind that you're four, and would rather he had just ruffled your hair and given you a cuddle like all the other dads...

It's your first nativity play, you're really excited to be Mary. But when the angels come on stage, dad stands up and gets the whole assembly hall to sing along to Angels. Because he had a big hit with a song called Angels, never mind that the kids won't know it, the mums and dads will, and he's such a wag isn't he, interrupting everyone like that...

You are graduating from university and posing for a photo. You're quite proud, because you've just got a first and you worked really hard for it. Suddenly dad jumps in front of the camera and does one of his 'hilarious' gurning faces. Oh he's such a joker.

And on, and on, and on...

Itsfab · 28/10/2014 14:28

She was in on the joke given she comforts him when he stops mid walk.

Fuss about nothing imo.

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 14:30

Exactly treaclesoda. It's always about him.

squoosh · 28/10/2014 14:32

Well that's fine Squoosh, Vladimir has got a young gymnast wife, so I guess he's all sorted out on that front.
And Robbie Williams has a wife who "gets" him, so there isn't a vacancy there either.

Thanks for the info

But seeing as the marriages of Russian billionaires and pop stars seem to suffer an alarming mortality rate I'll maintain my position just in case either party should make an enquiry at a later date.
