I would be mortified if dh was uploading videos of me in labour onto Facebook!!! Why would you do that to your wife? Am confused!

Not that dancing to any song would have been appropriate given the circumstances

Why? Did you not see her dancing too?

Why not listen to his songs? I am pretty sure she had a hand in choosing what she was listening to, I find it hard to believe it was all his choice as to what music she had on during her labour.

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 11:55

Thanks cricketballs

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 12:01

' I find it hard to believe it was all his choice as to what music she had on during her labour '

REALLY!?

My god I don't.

It's all me me me me me me me me me me me me me me with him.

3LeetleKeettens · 28/10/2014 12:07

I suspect this is exactly the reaction RW wanted.

For those calling him a twat and a tool, how very judgmental and bullying of you.

None of you have met him in real life and are making assumptions and judging him by the celebrity you see on tv. Shame on you

3LeetleKeettens · 28/10/2014 12:08

*My god I don't.

It's all me me me me me me me me me me me me me me with him*

Oh DO let us hear an example of past instances where it has been me me me me me with him?

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 12:16

Is that your idea of a joke 3leetle?

lilypotter · 28/10/2014 12:26

She must surely know what he's like - she married him, after all.

Inboxer · 28/10/2014 12:27

Now I've seen the other vids I can accept that she was party to it all and it's certainly a good thing to keep a sense of humour during these things! I think it's just the way that Robbie does things sometimes that makes it difficult to work out whether he's having fun or crossing the thin line into egocentricity!! The way he pokes her to get her attention and then walks off saying "she's going to be no fun!" just came across as a bit juvenile and not knowing when to quit the joke. I think if we are honest we would all have found that annoying!!! Good luck to them though - will be never a dull moment in that house!!

I think they're both knobs.

Love the Robbie fans hurrying to defend him. It's not 1996 anymore you know. Grin

youlookbeautifultonight · 28/10/2014 12:34

Being discussed on looses women right now..

youlookbeautifultonight · 28/10/2014 12:34

*loose women

CrashDiveOnMingoCity · 28/10/2014 12:35

3Lettle Robbie, is that you? Grin

plinkyplonks · 28/10/2014 13:04

I thought it was a great idea personally. If you're feeling up to it, why not. It's not for everyone - but no-one is saying it should be either. Seriously, there are more important things in life to get wound up about :D

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 13:06

MiddletonPink So you think his wife doesn't have an opinion over what they listen to? That she must somehow be controlled by him & is only allowed to listen to what HE wants.

How condescending of you.

lylasmam2012 · 28/10/2014 13:12

God I hate him

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 13:15

Differentname you are starting to worry me slightly now.

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 13:15

Oh and yes I do think it's all about him.

VenusRising · 28/10/2014 13:18

Chacon a son gout.

Each to their own.

They are two people who are having a baby and seem to be very well suited.

Whatever you think about them is your own opinion, and doesn't bear any relevance to their lives!
Says rather more about your own lives and experiences and I think that's very interesting.
A lot of people getting very emotional about birth- who knew, eh?
For sure its a big event, so maybe unresolved issues perhaps, and this story has triggered them?

BTW He's probably singing his own songs so he doesn't have to sort out copyright issues, or pay royalty fees!!

Congratulations on the birth of your baby Dudes! Hope it all goes well now.

Coumarin Not defending him so much as defending his wife & her ability to form her own opinion/ideas about what she listens to during labour.

Women on mumsnet will tell you that we all have the right to do what feels right for us/our families. Time & time again expectant mums are encouraged to make a plan for labour, music & distraction being top of the lists. Yet, when it comes to RW & his wife, she is being perceived as not having a choice about what music she listens to, or how her labour progresses, or what distraction techniques she chooses to use.

This is highly insulting to Robbie, painting him as some controlling guy who takes over because he likes the limelight. And paints her as some submissive, terrified woman who feels like she must submit to keep him sweet & doesn't have a say in how her labour goes.

I find it highly insulting that some women find another woman not capable of making choices they themselves wouldn't make, and then suggesting that she can't be enjoying it because they wouldn't do it/enjoy it.

The end of it is...she obviously loves him. They have a relationship where humour factors in a big way, I would imagine. They have been planning this day for at least as long as she has been pregnant. They both decided how it would go. She may have chosen to listen to his music because...oh I dunno....she LIKES his music? Just maybe..

KellyElly · 28/10/2014 13:20

3LeetleKeettens Are you being ironic or are you Robbie's No1 fan? Or Robbie himself? So, would I have to be a close friend or family member to have an opinion as to whether he is a tool? Or would meeting him once, twice, three times be enough? In a work capacity only? What's the criteria to have an opinion??

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 13:21

Love the Robbie fans hurrying to defend him And you know what...if this was any couple doing this to get her through labour, I'd say the same. Each to their own.

Who exactly are they hurting?

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 13:22

MiddletonPink Really?

I wouldn't worry too much, I'm not really worth that much of your time.

sourdrawers · 28/10/2014 13:22

He's a supreme fuckwit anyway, it doesn't surprise me he'd do such a tit -headed thing as this. His poor wife!

MiddletonPink · 28/10/2014 13:24

You're over investment in Mr Williams is strange Different.
