I would be mortified if dh was uploading videos of me in labour onto Facebook!!! Why would you do that to your wife? Am confused!

YABU

Just for the eye candy factor, there are many women who would let it go happily to be married to Mr WilliamsWink

JoanHickson · 28/10/2014 01:55

His PR are going to have to work overtime to turn this around.

Redglitter · 28/10/2014 02:08

Turn what around?

He's posted a lovely video of him and his wife joking about it and it's clear he had her permission.

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 04:01

It's pretty fucking patronising & insulting that some seem to think she has no control over this...

She is in labour, of course she doesn't look impressed, but that doesn't mean that she isn't in agreement to what he is doing!

Shock at him singing bloody Frozen while she's pushing yeah..so unreasonable when she asks him to stop & he does & apologises!! Hmm

His PR are going to have to work overtime to turn this around. Turn what around, exactly?

It's like the part in Tim Minchin's show where a woman says that she wonders what it would be like to be his wife, being the subject of 'such a sexist song" (If I didn't have you)

He says "She (the woman) was a hypocrite & being sexist [herself] in making the rather condensing assumption that my wife, as a woman, couldn't handle that sort of humour & that she is a wilting flower"

Which is what most of you have done here...

Just because she is in labour, it doesn't mean that
1] he is exploiting or harming her
2] she isn't up for it

I don't really care what he videos or posts, I suppose she has agreed to it all. But I'm another who feels sorry for her even for being married to the repulsive egomaniac that us Robbie Williams. Although clearly she doesn't need my sympathy since she chose to be. He makes me shudder, and not in a good way.

Aussiemum78 · 28/10/2014 05:23

Even if she consented, the photos look odd. It's like he has to be centre of attention and can't even let her/his child take priority, even in labour.

Does he also blow out her birthday candles for her and open her presents?

Completely odd.

Inboxer · 28/10/2014 05:56

Yes that's what I meant - it just seems an odd thing to want to do. Labour is a private moment regardless of whether his wife found it hilarious or was too focused on labour pains to stop his antics! Just support your wife in a mature way or get out surely?!! It's one moment that shouldn't be all about him!!!

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 05:57

Ausiemum, you are making huge leaps! Have you watched ALL the videos he posted?

differentnameforthis · 28/10/2014 05:58

It's clear he did it to help her though & she was happy with it...stop pitying her.

I think she is old enough to know her own mind for heavens sake!

Inboxer · 28/10/2014 06:19

How does posting it on Facebook help her?!

OP posts:
Pumpkinpositive · 28/10/2014 06:40

It's clearly a wind up. Of course she's in on it.

Have people on this thread gone mad?? Confused

LePetitMarseillais · 28/10/2014 06:43

I thought it was really funny, sorry. The birth announcement brought a tear to my eye. They're both clearly ecstatic and besotted with each other.

munchkinmaster · 28/10/2014 06:49

What's the thing at his neck?

I actually feel a bit sorry for Robbie. Faded star reduced to u tube antics. It'll be dancing on ice next.......

Thumbscrewswitch · 28/10/2014 06:56

I don't feel sorry for either of them - they've chosen to do this, they know they'll get some positive return and some negative backlash from it, they're "slebs" after all - but I don't think he comes out of it as badly as some of you are making out.

I think it's lovely that he's so proud of his wife and children.

Nerf · 28/10/2014 06:58

What Pumpkin said. I can't believe anyone thinks she and he haven't agreed this as some PR stunt. Otherwise how is there a camera filming it, she's not exactly dressed down, she and he deadpan the camera at times - next thing a reality showGrin

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 28/10/2014 07:12

Nah I've just watched a couple of the videos and she's perfectly fine with it. No need to feel sorry for her!

MrsMaker83 · 28/10/2014 07:35

She danced with him on one video... Im sure she doesn't mind if she is joining in!

PacificWerewolf · 28/10/2014 07:41

Well, I just saw this on the news and did not even realise it was Robbie BlushHmmGrin

I have a wee soft spot for him even though I could v reasonably be his mother, but what a knob!

I too did not know he was married, know nothing about his wife and whether or not she's in on it. That's between them two.

Dh was allowed access to me with a camera after the baby was born - who'd want documentation of my sweaty, red, wild-haired face anyway?!

Szeli · 28/10/2014 07:50

I know I'd have enjoyed the comic relief. me and DP were constantly dicking about in hospital, when you're there so long you have to entertain yourself somehow

Bakeoffcakes · 28/10/2014 07:52

Has she actually given birth then? I missed that?

What did they have?

Shamazeballs · 28/10/2014 07:55

A baby? Grin

Nicknacky · 28/10/2014 07:59

I'm not even convinced she was pushing in the clip where he is singing frozen. She said herself she wanted to make people laugh so I think she was pretending at that point.

Some people really need to chill out and have a sense of humour. Not every man is taking advantage of his wife or an arsehole.

TheBogQueen · 28/10/2014 08:05

I find it off that celebrities bleat on about privacy and then put stuff like this out...surely this us a time like no other when a woman needs privacy?

hackmum · 28/10/2014 08:07

I think most women have had a moment in labour where they felt their other half was being an annoying tit...

The thing that bothered me was that she was apparently trying to push from a lying down position, which would have been inefficient - she'd have been much better off crouching or on all fours. Is it just me that notices that stuff?
