Aibu?

Had guests to stay last night. It gets mentions casually the next day that he sleeps naked, I laugh and say something along the lines of "only in your own bed I bloody hope!"
..at which point he gets a bit embarrassed and she says "he can't stand wearing pj's!"

We swiftly move on and I mourn the innocence of my pretty sanderson sheets.

Aibu to think you should at least wear undies when sleeping in someone else's home?

Or am I being a prude?

ByeByeButterfly · 26/10/2014 22:30

I only wear pjs when it's cold as don't like being restricted. Usually wear pants but occasionally don't wear them either.

It depends whose house I'm a guest of to whether I wear clothes in bed. If it's my sister say, I don't bother but if it's a friend I've known from school or a male I don't know very well is in the house I will wear pjs or just pj top and undies.

Never a bra though as it's horrible and bad for you

JuanPotatoTwo · 26/10/2014 22:35

chasing, rank I know - I feel you and I have a lot in common :) As they were leaving the next morning Mil said "Sorry about the stains on the sheets love". Oh how I miss her - not.

LuluJakey1 · 26/10/2014 22:36

I never touch towels used by anyone but me or DH. Any guest towels are put in the middle of the bed with pillow cases and duvet cover and carried downstairs in a bundle by DH and put into the washing machine on a hot wash.
I don't like anyone using the loo either. I clean the seat, the handle and the door handle and light switch with anti bacteria wipes and bleach in the loo every day when we have guests.
I hate public loos and would wee in one if I had to but that is all.
My luxury would be to have a bathroom entirely to myself.
Do people take their clothes off to have sex? That must make it easier.

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 22:41

We had mice shagging behind the skirting board in a previous dwelling. 'Silent shag' was clearly not in their vocabulary. GrinJust saying .....

LuluJakey1 · 26/10/2014 22:44

Mice have no self- control. It is a well known fact.

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 22:47

Well, those ones certainly had none, Lulu.

Jolleigh · 26/10/2014 22:47

The poster who asked when the nekkid sleepers became nekkid sleepers (I'm on the app, sorry)...

Pretty much as soon as I hit puberty and was finally awarded some privacy in my bedroom. I never liked sleeping in pyjamas, even as a kid but until my parents and brother stopped coming in as they pleased, they were a necessity. Always had PJs or a dressing gown next to the bed though.

JuanPotatoTwo · 26/10/2014 22:49

How loud can mice be? Am imagining lots of excited squeaking :)

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 23:01

It was loud. Definitely orgasmic. And they hadn't even asked if they could shag. I was especially Blushas they were not always nocturnal, Wink though it was a flat with several small humans with erratic sleep patterns so the poor mice were probably confused.

I cannot recommend what we did to solve the problem to any of you for you out of control house guests. I believe what we did is illegal treatment of humans in most jurisdictions.

I want a csi torch. Does Argos do them do you think? Grin

LuluJakey1 · 26/10/2014 23:13

They shriek when our cats catch them and bring them home.

maddening · 26/10/2014 23:21

Ywbu to embarrass your guests

RockinHippy · 26/10/2014 23:25

Yes, your weird, if we have guests, they can sleep in a gimp mask & wet suit for all I care, none of my business, they are guests & I like them to feel welcome & comfortable

JuanPotatoTwo · 26/10/2014 23:27

Basket - but did you change the little mouse sheets once the mouse shagging was over? :)

Aeroflotgirl · 26/10/2014 23:44

Do you think hes incontinent op, or might poo the bed. My goodness, the sheets are going in the wash anyway.

BasketzatDawn · 26/10/2014 23:48

Actually. Juan, we sold the flat and moved out. Grin (we were moving anyway, honest guv)

FoxgloveFairy · 26/10/2014 23:54
Biscuit
FoxgloveFairy · 26/10/2014 23:58

Also, I refuse to believe that mice shag. Nekkid or otherwise. (clutches pearls and runs off, innocence destroyed) .

Momagain1 · 27/10/2014 00:02

Yuck - leaving your penisy/vaginal sheets with semen and sweat on them for family or friends to wash.

I would return the favour were they my guests. Though mostly guests are relatives, and I have yet to have any that didn't strip the bed and leave the sheets and the towels in 2 piles ready to wash, because that's what were were taught to do as polite family guests.

I am unlikely to be a guest unless I am on holiday, and any guests I am likely to have are probably on their holiday. If you cant get laid and have a lie in on holiday, you might as well stay home and go to work in the morning.

glutenfreekiwi · 27/10/2014 00:08

Another naked sleeper here... I take nightwear when I go away but only for before bed and when I get up. Doesn't bother me either way for guests, sheets are washed when they leave anyway. But I'd rather not see most of my friends wandering about the house naked...

SayraT · 27/10/2014 07:02

Imagine if some of these naked people (I'm one) farted in your bed. All over your sheets Shock

Grin
Jessicahyde85 · 27/10/2014 07:07

But you would be washing them after he left anyway!!!

nevercackle · 27/10/2014 07:17

I have just woken up practically fully dressed.
knickers
bra
bamboo breast pads
vest
PJ bottoms
...and a cardigan!

to be fair though, I fell asleep watching homeland and dragged myself upstairs semi conscious.

Hatespiders · 27/10/2014 08:55

When I got into bed last night (naked, of course) I was giggling so much I couldn't get to sleep. My boobs were indeed wandering about. Sometimes one might hang over the side of the bed. And why not?
We change our sheets every Saturday, so next time I must remember to give them a good lick before washing them. I only wash at 40 degrees. Perfectly adequate.
Our mice are into S&M, so you hear tiny whips lashing.
Have checked my vag for cobwebs.
Still laughing this morning. Such a funny thread!

Espii · 27/10/2014 10:29

No matter how cold it is, no matter where I am, if I'm in a bed, i am naked. DP never is, but I am. Clothes are too restrictive and I get tangled up in them. I hate PJs, but I love lounging about in them Grin
Prude, sorry!

QuinionsRainbow · 27/10/2014 11:15

PSML here. Not quite sure how to join, other than with the bare facts! Birthday suits have become very popular nightwear of late, and are convenient when travelling, which is presumably why the fluffy robes that many hotels supply are not just to keep you warm. DH and I always sleep nude, at home and away, including when staying with both sets of in-laws, who are of the same persuasion and certainly wouldn't expect us to dress for bed, and also when visiting friends and relations, and it's never occurred to either of us to do otherwise. We have certainly never asked our hosts whether they minded us sleeping nude and we've never felt embarrassed by being seen blatently topless by those hosts considerate enough to bring us an early morning drink in bed.

Likewise, it would seem to us to be the height of nosiness to ask our own guests what they wear in bed, so our starting assumption is that visitors sleep in the buff, which is why our guest bedroom has a couple of robes hanging on the back of the door and why we always wash guest bedding immediately after use, even if its only for one night. Oh, and we always provide an early-morning cup of tea or coffee!
