To wonder why there are men posting here?

The website is called MUMSnet. Not dadsnet or parentsnet, but MUMSnet. Most people who post here are female so why men would even want to post here is beyond me. It's even creepier when they don't have any kids.

And Pan isn't male or female. Pan is actually short for Pan-Dimensional-Octobeing. More of an 8 legged badger crossed with an egg whisk and then double crossed with a pirate.

Panthingies · 05/10/2014 19:13

You know me too well, Tiggy....but not enough as you'd like to..Wink

Gruntfuttock · 05/10/2014 19:21

"I like it when I read a thread and a man has given there point of you."

Please tell me you're not serious with that spelling.

DiaDuit · 05/10/2014 19:38

Please tell me you're not serious with that spelling.

Me too please.

"Are you sure PigletJohn is, in fact, male? Having a male moniker doesn't make one male."

Yup. I think it comes up often in his posts

Oh please tell me that isn't so!!

YonicScrewdriver · 05/10/2014 20:01

Oops Blush

TiggyD · 05/10/2014 20:07

Maybe there should be an official Mumsnet register that all man-posters should be on?

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 05/10/2014 20:32

Along the lines of 'I'm Brian, and so is my wife', Tiggy? Grin

TiggyD · 05/10/2014 20:40

I'm thinking of those radio tracking devices they force some animals to wear.

neiljames77 · 05/10/2014 20:45

What, to see if we go into the gents or ladies?

neiljames77 · 05/10/2014 20:46

Toilets

raltheraffe · 05/10/2014 20:47

I think men should be allowed to post here if they want.

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 05/10/2014 20:48

Oh, like a sex offenders register, but guilty until proven innocent? Ah. In that case...I'm Brenda an so is my DH.

TiggyD · 05/10/2014 20:49

Maybe there should be borders around posts? Flowers, handbags, cupcakes and shit for the ladies, manly stuff for the men?

MrsTerryPratchett · 05/10/2014 21:00

Penis beakers, Tiggy? Seems apropos...

CuttedUpPear · 05/10/2014 21:25

I like the menz being on here.
I hate 'girls nites out' as well.
We need a little balance in life.

raltheraffe · 05/10/2014 21:26

TiggyD that sounds like a good idea, but what manly stuff should there be?

All I can think of is McCoys crisps and a moustache.

TiggyD · 05/10/2014 21:35

And a shed?

Staywithme · 05/10/2014 23:12

All I can think of is McCoys crisps and a moustache.

It's not just the men that have moustaches. Sad sniffle.

Deathraystare · 06/10/2014 00:01

I am not a mum - I have 0 kids. Also no pets and both my parents are dead. I still come on here!!

Deathraystare · 06/10/2014 00:03

Aaaaargh you are right, Stay - I must remember to cream off my tashe before Tuesdays interview.....

manaboutthemaison · 06/10/2014 04:04

I'm a bloke
I've got 5 kids
I like to cook
I hate racism /sexism / religious intolerance
I also like a larf.

Can I post from time to time ??

Purleeeeease???

DontDrinkAndFacebook · 06/10/2014 04:11

Is it creepy if childless women post on here?

You sound very angry. Hmm

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 06/10/2014 05:59

Anyone can post. Everyone is welcome to post. People who repeatedly break the talk guidelines might get banned but that's all. There are lots of people who arrive at MN because of a specific person or reason (TTC, bereavement, MH, SN etc the list is long, but do think about the first two).
