The poor darlings are going to be about 27 by the time they start at this rate Hmm

YANBU.

They look about 7 or 8?

DS loves it unfortunately

pluCaChange · 24/09/2014 20:08

I'm just pleased they've finally moved house. Joyce MUST have been drinking gin on MN Property/DIY threads and moaning about English law!

TheSkiingGardener · 24/09/2014 20:09

Couldn't agree more. They are the teasing trailers from hell.

Missdread · 24/09/2014 20:12

Haha!!! I SO get this! My three little ones are avid watchers and the house move: jeez!!!!! How long did they drag that one out?! It was worse than an EastEnders murder-at-Christmas-find-out-whodunnit-the Christmas-after storyline! So today they scooted to school to have a look and my three are yelling, "But WHEN WILL THEY START PROPERLY?!" It's edge of your seat stuff folks!!

PseudoBadger · 24/09/2014 20:14

Also it's their 5th birthday and they can write their invitations? Is that realistic?

CornChips · 24/09/2014 20:35

The protracted house move drove me crackers. I love a bit of property porn, and sat out the entire series screaming at the tv 'Just move already'. (Might have been slightly over-invested). This time, i think that all the schools went back weeks ago, so CBeebies is just being ignorant.

Sadly DS also loves T&T. He calls them 'his friends' and I have to make up stories at bedtime about how T&T come and play with him.

PrettyPictures92 · 24/09/2014 20:36

I thought they already started? There was a thread on here about someone crying watching their first day at school episode :s (cbeebies has been boycotted for scooby doo and tom and Jerry in my house)

morethanpotatoprints · 24/09/2014 20:41

They are H.ed just like Pippy Long Stocking.
They can read and write because mum has taught them to.

RabbitSaysWoof · 24/09/2014 20:46

I get so confused about the timing of that program, saw one I'm sure it was months ago when Mum announced Grandma was unwell and she was going next week to look after her, last week shes still there Shock

ouryve · 24/09/2014 20:46

Peppa pig's probably old enough to have her own piglets by now, if it comes to that.

Thesimplethings · 24/09/2014 20:50

And why so they never fight?

Why are they so good?

They are very articulate and talk for nursery aged children Hmm

MrsWinnibago · 24/09/2014 20:52

Re writing invitations...there's always ONE child in the class who writes them all AND their own thank you notes afterwards. This is in bloody reception. My DD is 6 now and I can just about get her to sign them. :( She's a bugger though. A small, toothless pirate girl who would rather kiss each and every one of her classmates than struggle with a pen for two hours.

pluCaChange · 24/09/2014 21:35

They don't fight because Tim has low self-esteem and Topsy probably gets her own way, is my impression. Sad

123upthere · 24/09/2014 21:45

If only they had bloody decluttered before they moved house. Worse than Hoarders (well not quite but still)

WhispersOfWickedness · 24/09/2014 21:47

Ooo, forgot I started this thread Grin

I had forgotten about the sodding house move, I have never awaited a new series of a kids tv programme quite so excitedly as I did just to see the bloody house they moved into AngryHmm Does it piss anyone else off that the shape from the top does not match the floor plan and the upstairs does not match the downstairs in terms of shape either?!
And the kids going to their house instead of nursery for the nursery photo?! Shock I'm sure there are all sorts of rules preventing that Hmm

I do have DC who watch it, btw, I don't sit there watching it on my own BlushGrin

I do have to confess to having a reception aged child who could write his own invitations though, sorry Blush

Plu, that is tragic Sad I did notice Tim's anxiety in today's episode, I guess they had to have one twin excited about starting and one nervous, to cover all bases about how children might feel about it... The poor kid would be less wound up about it if they hadn't had so much build up to it though Hmm

Just wish their mum sat down on the sofa more. Like I do. A lot. That's normal isn't it Grin

123upthere · 24/09/2014 22:08

She's either answering the front door, going out the back door, on the phone walking around the house, in the kitchen doing stuff while talking to them while they stand there waiting for her to simply stand.still.

WhispersOfWickedness · 24/09/2014 22:31

The parents are also so nice to each other!! I'd love there to be an episode where they have a massive row Grin Even a bit of bickering would help Grin

I knew Joyce would be a sodding runner as well... Is there anything that woman can't do?!Hmm

Shockers · 24/09/2014 22:41

They started school in the early 70s. I have the paperback to prove it!

Chippednailvarnish · 24/09/2014 22:45

DD loves them, I reckon Mum was off shagging DIY Derek instead of visiting Grandma.

WhispersOfWickedness · 24/09/2014 23:01

DIY Derek?! Joyce is more discerning than that! I reckon it's Keri's dad, the hot fireman!! Grin

GahLinDah · 24/09/2014 23:31

I am a bit concerned about poor Josie from across the road, she is about fifteen and is only now losing her milk teeth.

Joyce was moonlighting as a police family officer down in London and had a fling with Max Branning. Not so squeaky clean after all.

pluCaChange · 25/09/2014 08:20

Tim is probably partly anxious because the others are sooo damned chipper about everything. He's terrified that they don't think about pitfalls in life! Even though he's anxious to an irrational extent (flipping out about new jeans, FFS). Poor boy!
