Bra-less at my BBQ?

Last night DH and i hosted a BBQ for newish friends whom we had never hosted before. DH invited a female colleague whom i had never met before. She turned up with her boyfriend but not her bra. She was wearing a thickish cotton white top. You could see the outline of her boobs and nipples if you looked.

After the party i mentioned it to DH. He claimed to not have noticed.

I'd bet my mortgage your DH noticed, but has wisely decided to take the fifth.

DH and I would have done that thing when Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts leave the dinner party in Notting Hill. But we are super-immature.

I've just seen her last post too. Either you are fixated on staring at other people's breasts and crotches or they were hoping you were going to chuck the car keys in a bowl at some point.

There could have been a bra with a snapped wire tucked discreetly in her handbag or she might just not like bras. Don't blame her really, don't like them much myself!
DH would have noticed but wisely wouldn't have said anything either during or after the event.

Yanbu (ducks). I think it's inappropriate too. Can't put a finger on why, though. Something to do with respect for the host, perhaps?

No, of course there wasn't a dress code. Personally i would not wear a white tshirt and no bra to a bbq at my boss's house if i knew that everyone could see my pendulous breasts but hey i am obviously in the wrong.

That bloody word again! It's meaningless. It's just a way of throwing shit at something or someone when you can't think of anything better to say.

What do you mean by "inappropriate"?

Do you mean no-one should ever be braless?
or just not in front of a work colleague?
or not at your house because you think she might look more attractive than you?
or not at a BBQ in case she burns their nipples?

If you would just specify why you think is actually wrong, we can perhaps make a better judgement. Until then, you are most definitely BU.

In fact it's an inappropriate question!

I love that people are now assuming that there was a man in see through trousers at the BBQ.

Of course it's odd to go round with huge knockers braless. Its bloody uncomfortable for one thing when they are large, however perky they might be.

And it is blatantly obvious when someone isn't wearing one so I'd suggest she likes people looking at her chest rather than doing it for comfort. Which is up to her of course. But it is not usual.

Inappropriate because she was visiting the house of her boss for the first time and the only person she knew who would be there was her boss and of course her boyfriend. It wasn't a beach bbq with a bunch of friends.

Isn't he her friend if he invited her to a BBQ? Not sure why a garden BBQ is more formal than a beach BBQ.

You and your DH know she has breasts. You can still see the shape of them whether they are in a bra or not.

It was very hot and sticky yesterday, i sometimes go braless in that weather. I find it a bit odd that she did this with a white top but perhaps she didn't realise it was as see through or didn't care
