To think some people are overreacting about the new mobile site?

I appreciate it is not perfect but I think some posters are being a tad over zealous in their criticism. Someone, probably some people, spent a lot of time working on the layout, and whilst I am sure they appreciate some of the feedback, it can't be pleasant to have tons of posters writing about how awful it is/ how much they hate it/ how they think it's ruined MN for them because they simply HAVE to be able to customise their view in a particular way.

It's a different website layout that doesn't work as well for you - in the big scale of things, how serious a problem can that be?

Things that are winding me up and I only view MN on mobile site on phone so I really am rating this beta on usability not just whinging about aesthetics.

1. I have no idea how many pages are on the thread. This used to be obvious, now I'm answering assuming it's one page long to find out once my post appears it's actually 9 pages in length!

2. I have to press 'add post' to get the the end of a page to then decide whether to hit 'last' to post. Again I assume some of the navigation has disappeared because I don't remember doing any of this with the old site

3. titles are now only given a restricted character length, previously we were allowed long thread titles. Fine, however when trying to adapt the title length it won't let you scroll across to the end, you have to keep deleting a chunk of it and trying again.

4. can't see in my thread list whether any new replies have been posted. You used to be able to see the last few replies on the thread, now you end up clicking on it to see which is a total waste of time.

5. The reply box is too small.

Threads I'm on is much, much better. Thanks.

Can we have the option to, or at least some instructions on how to removed threads from the 'threads I'm on' list. I have got threads in my list which are no longer active so don't need to monitor them anymore.

I've worked out how to remove threads from the "I'm watching" section but not from the "I'm on" section.

I wish they'd make the app better, currently it's rubbish!

I agree, the App is totally crap. I deleted it in the end and just access the site via my Google App.
