To block this car in...

I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

OH MY GOD! I can't believe this thread is this long. Sorry for the lack of update btw, I was drinking camping until a couple of ago, and I needed to have a wash and feed. The spiders in the campsite showers are the size of small birds. Anyway the mystery has been solved!!! I'm fucking gutted I wasn't there but the NDN have told me the tale backed up with some sweary texts from dsis.

My sister was woken up mid afternoon on Saturday by raised voices. She looked out of the window and a woman was looking in the windows of the PNC and a bloke was shouting into his phone. A very similar posh car was parked outside the house. Sis banged on the window and the bloke started shouting at her to move the car...

I might have explained earlier on in the thread that my sister is a mardy cow with a vile temper, I'm afraid of her and I'm older, taller, bigger etc. She really doesn't deal with being woken up very well and also can't take orders. Anyway she went out and this bloke apparently didn't apologise for parking in the drive for over 24 hours, he just demanded she move the car. Sis (blew up) asked him why he had parked on our drive and he was apparently confused. Anyway to cut a long story short, it turns out they got the wrong house. The next street has a very similar name (think New Crescent and New Circle) and they were meant to leave the car at the same number house on the next street.

After all this had come out they were apparently very contrite and apologised. Sis moved my car (and left it under the fucking tree) and alien car cunt is long gone. Peace restored in sleepy street.

Oh Sad I wanted you to have the car.

It's all too... Reasonable! Grin

ClashCityRocker · 17/08/2014 23:08

Oh. Thanks for the update OP.

I knew it would have a logical explanation.......but am slightly disappointed

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 17/08/2014 23:08

I woul love to have seen your Dsis in action Grin

Vicky5910 · 17/08/2014 23:10

Oh no everyone is going to be so gutted with that reasonably resolve update!
Quick: report it, get it deleted, then make up something exciting like your sister nutted him!

BlackbirdOnTheWire · 17/08/2014 23:11

I reckon that the OP is stuck at the campsite, because some arsehole has pitched his/her tent a centimetre from her tent door flap and now she's blocked in Grin.

Loving the diamonds in the hostas, though I'm afraid it was the detail that was the giveaway - OP had already said her mum didn't talk to her for a whole weekend for running over the lavender. Such a keen gardener would never try to grow a sun-loving plant and a shade-loving one in the same spot.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 17/08/2014 23:12

Oh, gutted, I was hoping it some brass neckiness and your Dsis gave him a mouthful.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 17/08/2014 23:13

Well at least we can all get somel sleep now.

BlackbirdOnTheWire · 17/08/2014 23:13

Oh. X-post and gutted. Though relieved the OP hasn't been blocked into a tent. And quite scared of your sister!

Fairenuff · 17/08/2014 23:13

There you go, knew there'd be a simple explanation.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 17/08/2014 23:15

Happy with the update, Grin there was sone swearing after all Wink

nocoolnamesleft · 17/08/2014 23:17

I trust your dsis went out to confront him in jimjams and fluffy slippers, in order to highlight that the selfish prat had disturbed her in the equivalent of the middle of the night? If she was half as grumpy as I am if woken during a run of night shifts, the idiot must have been terrified.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 17/08/2014 23:23

Hurrah, the mystery has been resolved!

Thanks op. Grin

Snapespotions · 17/08/2014 23:25

Thanks for the update OP.

Some people seem a little over-invested in this thread! Grin

Oh I don't know, that's quite a satisfying ending really!
