To block this car in...

I'm at my mum's. she lives on a a fairly narrow hill, you can park on the road but it's best if you park half on the pavement. I'm going camping for the weekend with friends who are coming to pick me up in an hour. I've just popped to the shops for supplies of crisps and wine and some cheeky bugger has parked on my mum's drive.

I've text all my family and no one has any knowledge of this car. Would I be a total arse to just reverse onto the drive right upto their bumper and leave my car there for the weekend? I really don't want to leave my car half on the pavement for a whole weekend. A few of the NDNs have double buggies and there won't be enough room for them to pass. I also don't want to leave my shiny lovely car under the tree on the road cos it will be covered in bird poo and tree sap when I get back.

Mum is also away this weekend too so I can't even leave the keys. Grrrrrr.

I've moved in across the road and am curtain twitching to see if the owner comes back. I see you all parked on the pavement watching weirdos go home to bed it's late

Ihatefootball · 15/08/2014 22:03

I was sort of blocked in by a man who parked about a foot and a half over the line, almost touching my car. He returned and said I need driving lessons if I can't get out of that space. He clearly needed to be less of a prick and look where he had parked

On behalf of all of us who've encountered parking dickheads I hope the car belongs to an entitled cunt who finally learns his lesson.

PlacidApricots · 15/08/2014 22:13

Fair enough I am sorry, tired and didn't register that.

Op where are yoooouuuuuuu?????????!!!!!!!!!!

DoJo · 15/08/2014 22:19

I hope the OP is having fun camping - perhaps she should have left some sort of bivouacking guide for the cheeky parker in case they need to camp out in the driveway...!

PeterGriffinsPenisBeaker · 15/08/2014 22:19

How can the OP go camping at a time like this? Doesn't she realise what she is doing to me??!?!

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 15/08/2014 22:20

To be fair, OP is probably shit faced in a field singing Kumbaya by now. (and what does that even mean anyway?)

mistlethrush · 15/08/2014 22:21

Letsface - its a song...

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 15/08/2014 22:23

I know that mistle but what does it mean? As a Welsh person, I used to think it meant Come By Year (here) in a strong Valleys accent but then I met English DH who laughed his arse off.

he doesn't know what it means either, though.

KissMyFatArse · 15/08/2014 22:30

I was camping with my DS 5 and dp last week. Found a lovely campsite in Dundee with private beach. Was gorge.

However slept in car most of nite with DS because DP kept fartin all nite in the tent. After 3 bottles of wine!

Stinking bugger. However camping was great apart from that. Just thought I'd share Wink

Op where are you!!! Confused

ClashCityRocker · 15/08/2014 22:31

It does mean come by here, I think, it was a spiritual sung by the afro-American slaves in their dialect of American...I think.

BramwellBrown · 15/08/2014 22:31

it means come by here my lord, in Gullah, which is a language spoken by the descendants of African Slaves in South Carolina and Georgia, it was sung by american missionaries.

VanGogh · 15/08/2014 22:32

ClashCityRocker · 15/08/2014 22:35
