I think we need to remember that AIBU can also be for daft things we discuss.

Where we 'escape' for a while, and forget our worries...

I do hope some of you feel the same.

My brain hurts (its very muggy at the mo) and wont work properly.

If anyone has a daft, giggle- rousing AIBU, please contribute.

I may disappear for a while, as pesky family require feeding.

Just when I decide to have an evenings mnetting 5 minutes peace, they want food. Why me ?

I stepped on to cat shit this morning, bare foot. It didn't make me giggle, oddly enough, but it might make you! Sad

Not really an AIBU but I had a laugh out loud moment in my small (but lovely) local library this afternoon (as did the two librarians).

I handed my books back in & put them on the returns shelf & another book dropped off the shelf which I picked up.

It was called something like (can't remember exact title):

"How to keep Happy Chickens & other Poultry"

At the bottom of the cover was a diagonal strap line that said:

"Includes recipes".

MrsVamos · 25/07/2014 17:26

Stepping in shit is not pleasant, I agree.

However, its like people falling over, especially on ice. It does make you giggle.

Not quite what I intended, but hey ho !

I punched myself in the eye trying to put on my strapless wonder bra the other day.

The elastic on those buggers is really strong.

MrsVamos · 25/07/2014 17:28

magi

Yep, that's made me giggle. And YWNBU to think that it was giggly.

Keeping happy chickens to me means you don't eat them !

YABU. Spare a thought for those of us who have had a sense of humour bypass. Very mardyist.

thornrose · 25/07/2014 17:28

Shouldn't this be in....Oh bugger I can't think of anything witty!

MrsVamos · 25/07/2014 17:30

Maryz Grin

Who do you think you are, you cheeky mare ? If you had nothing giggly to say, why did you post on MY thread ?

Ffs.

Ooooh, in the falling over on ice stakes... My horse went head over heels while jumping this morning, catapulting me into the sand. We both seem to have walked away in one piece, so it was definitely hilarious Grin

MrsVamos · 25/07/2014 17:32

MrsDV (sorry, you are not a muzzler to me)

Its the image it creates in my head.

Arm shooting out and thwack. Grin

Meet the meat? Surely every evolved MNetter eats only creatures that are happy to be eaten, introduce themselves to confirm that and recommend their body parts?

7Days · 25/07/2014 17:35

Panzee Grin

Oh a laugh would be so welcome after a grim week

magimedi · 25/07/2014 17:36

Diseases

I can't laugh either - it sounds scary to me.

meltedmonterayjack · 25/07/2014 17:36

AIBU to expect a sports bra to be designed in such a way that I don't pull a muscle in my arm the first time of putting it on?

CompletelyStumped · 25/07/2014 17:37

thinks diseases just had a subtle brag on owning a horse Grin jj hun hope you and horse are ok .

My only funny thing to mention was how my ds walked outside yelling my name. Went to see what was up and he was stark naked, holding his penis and trying to tell me it was a beasty. DN nearly peed themselves laughing Blush

Sparklingbrook · 25/07/2014 17:38

I have had a terrible day involving a shower hose. Sad

MrsVamos · 25/07/2014 17:39

My shower hose is broken. Sad

Funniest thing that happened to me last week... A repair man came out to look at water damage in our kitchen. While he was lying on floor looking under the units with his torch my kitten wandered in, so I said "Oi you, come here" and the repair man stopped what he was doing and said "what?" with a shocked look on his face - cringe!!!! :o

rhubarbcrumbleplease · 25/07/2014 17:41

Read the thread about parents on FB, you will cry with laughter.

magimedi · 25/07/2014 17:42

I do hope all this talk of shower hoses is not a euphemism, seeing as it's Friday.

Oh yes, it's Friday & it's nearly Wine o'clock.

I thought I would replace the shower head but it was incompatible with my existing universal shower hose so ended up having to buy both, and having a meltdown in Homebase. Spent the afternoon in the bathroom with pliers, getting all hot and angry.

Anyway it's all done now but the family are very 'meh'. So not worthwhile at all.

Oh and putting the garden hose away it reared up and smacked me in the face.

So steer clear of hoses is probably a good tip for me.
