I think we need to remember that AIBU can also be for daft things we discuss.

Where we 'escape' for a while, and forget our worries...

I do hope some of you feel the same.

My brain hurts (its very muggy at the mo) and wont work properly.

If anyone has a daft, giggle- rousing AIBU, please contribute.

I may disappear for a while, as pesky family require feeding.

Just when I decide to have an evenings mnetting 5 minutes peace, they want food. Why me ?

this is a bit lame but I got lost in Liverpool this morning. going to the same place I found yesterday with no problems at all.

scottishmummy · 25/07/2014 22:56

Mommim you need to unclench, they'll not follow the programme in your absence
Theyll be emboldened with jts all rubbish and didnt do it in my day

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 25/07/2014 23:05

It's really just the salt I'm worried about. Whereas my parents are so desperate to keep up with the up-to-date guidelines, they'll follow anything I give them to the letter, the ILs will say 'if it's good enough for us, it's good enough for her', completely ignoring the fact that she isn't supposed to have extra salt.

Should point out this is part of a long-running saga with inlaws.

enormouse · 25/07/2014 23:06

That's so true Scottish. Last time DSes stayed with Pil overnight they got Chinese one night and fish and chips the next. Mostly due to the fact 6mo was a nightmare and wore them both out to the point of being unable to cook.

The time before that they got many different brands of luxury biscuits in as DS1 is very fond of shortbread. They love the boys and are great with them so I only rolled my eyes a little.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 25/07/2014 23:07

But I'm going to stop miserable-ing up the thread and share another funny thing that has happened today.

I've been walking around topless since about 3pm.

Just realised the blinds on our massive french-style windows have been open all evening. Revealing all to the builders working next door. Blush

enormouse · 25/07/2014 23:08

What about pouches/jars for your ils to give?

scottishmummy · 25/07/2014 23:09

So there the rub.they'll rubbish it did us no harm, wont follow your plan
I cook salt free, didn't use salt made all my own food salt-free but i know gran doesnt
And they see granny, eat at granny, she feeds em asda value.on balance i have to think cant change her,she wont change.kids love her

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 25/07/2014 23:13

Shop I volunteer in, a bloke came in to by Stilletos, claiming they were for his gf, he didnt look like the type to have a gf who wore stilletos, Assistant Manager swore they were for himself.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 25/07/2014 23:21

Pouches will probably be the way to go. They can't argue then Grin

scottishmummy · 25/07/2014 23:23

Only if they serve the pouch.im not being pessimistic, just realistic

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 25/07/2014 23:24

It's probably not worth the fight for one day or one weekend really, is it? Hmm as long as they return her healthy and safe, I won't question what she's been fed Grin

scottishmummy · 25/07/2014 23:24

My pint exactly!
And although its hard, well its better than aggro

thornrose · 25/07/2014 23:25

How much time are ILs and OH going to be feeding the baby without you being around?

Agree with sm and maryz etc about the salt, one weekend won't hurt. Let them enjoy their gp's when they are still around

MrsVamos · 26/07/2014 00:17

Blimey. Thread still going. Shock

I sprained a toe running out into the garden in flip flops to save my laundry from the rain. Does it count as a sports injury? It is surprisingly painful...
