WIBU to call 101 on my nasty, naked neighbour?

Just that. Is it a police matter?

11:30 pm. Dark outside. Neighbour in flat directly opposite mine, lights on, no curtains in bedroom, wondering back and forward around bedroom bollock naked chatting to girlfriend (clothed).

This is a tenement flat with large, below-the-waist height windows. One cannot be oblivious to the potential of neighbours copping an eyeful.

I don't want to go all Plymouth Brethren on someone if it's just a one off. Should I wait for a repeat performance?

This person is hermetically sealed to his desktop pc 24/7 and I have long harboured suspicions about what he may be watching. The flat also has a history of previous tenants shagging against the selfsame bedroom window at 11am on a weekday morning.

Perfectly prepared to be told I am BU. Smile

prettybird aw, I'm sad they aren't real shutters Sad . A friend's house had similar beside his window and after taking off layers of paint and varnish, they did actually function as shutters again. Not that I'm recommending attacking your's with a paint scraper!
Is that your former close or did you just steal a pic of a tiled close from Google?

prettybird · 01/07/2014 00:17

Our shutters were stripped (albeit badly) when we moved in, so we know there are no hinges Sad But the compensation is the fabulous cornicing and the frieze. Smile

That was a random picture from the Internet but pretty similar to my recollection - left the flat before digital photography so would've had to hunt for any shots of the close (if indeed we had any) and then scan them and email them to me.

We have shutters. They are awesome.

I have retro-fitted slat shutters. They are very pretty but an absolute bugger to clean. I am Envy of your shutters Phaedra.

Sadly, ground floor street-facing tenement flats attract just the kind of idiots who are that mentally disengaged.

Which brings me to my question...

Why did you choose a ground floor street-facing tenement flat ?

AKeyFox · 01/07/2014 14:35

Just rescanned thread, could you clarify which floor(s) you are on please.

Just sounded like it was GF.

prettybird · 01/07/2014 15:59

Don't think it was Ground Floor as a number of us said our responses would be different if it was Ground Floor and people walking by could look in (we did ask). The discussion ended up being about how wide the street was, implying an upper flat, and therefore whether he had the right to walk around his own bedroom naked, when someone in a flat across the street could see in.

PhaedraIsMyName · 01/07/2014 18:04

It was an upper flat. Depending on the lie of the land/trees you can get spectacular views in to other people's houses with no great effort.
