To be angry with disrespectful women!

I'm talking about the women that know a guy is in a relationship yet continue to hit on him or upon hearing he has a girlfriend out right says 'I'm only up for a shag anyway, am I wasting my time?' Handing yourself on a plate like that to someone with a girlfriend and child is just low.

I obviously can't speak for all women but i wouldn't dream of hitting on somebody if they was in a relationship. I find it so disrespectful!

This happens quite a lot with my partner and it really angers me.

AIBU to let this bother me as much as it does? The woman I mentioned above might of got a peice of my mind..

I'm sorry OP but you sound ridiculous.

ilovesooty · 02/05/2014 18:21

This thread has made me snort.

I'm just about to go to Morrisons. I shall keep my eyes peeled for vulnerable men being propositioned by desperate women, panting with lust and failing to check whether they're spoken for.

It's like Made in Chelsea meets Supermarket Sweep!

I just don't understand how you could be wandering about, minding your own business in the middle of Tesco, and people manage to negotiate a situation where they not only get you to talk to them, but do so for long enough to start propositioning them.

I mean, I can conceive of it happening once, and being a funny story that gets told again and again. "Ooh tell them about the time you pulled over the fresh pizza counter."

But I struggle to believe this would happen with any sort of regularity to the same person unless they were:

a) Johnny Depp in his Captain Jack Sparrow outfit or
b) Naked, with their phone number tattooed across their nether regions

I used to do a sport which had a big drinking and shagging culture around it. I did this sport for over 15 years and on one single occasion I saw a girl persist in propositioning a guy who had made it clear he wasn't available. And he was an olympic gold medallist and it was a few days after he won his medal, so people were tending to approach him and want to talk to him.

I am also a criminal lawyer, and we have a huge number of cases involving fights etc where someone has screeched "gerrof my man" at someone else, and hair-pulling has ensued. But generally, it's been quite clear that the bloke has been lapping up the attention and the drama - you don't tend to see statements saying 'And then male 1 told female 2 that he was a devoted partner and father, but female 2 continued to press her attentions.'

I strongly suspect there is a bit of exaggeration going on.

"Though I would take Mr Tatum from his wife and have no shame"

Derek - I've heard she is coming over to sort you right out....

I have never asked a man for sex. Ever.

Have I missed something?

kungfupannda · 02/05/2014 18:47

Derek - I'd be expecting a knock on the door any time now. I've heard she doesn't do phones.

Mmmmm, they're so dreamy!

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 02/05/2014 19:02

And this is why I make my husband shop in M&S.

CabbagesAndKings · 02/05/2014 19:07

M&S? You are running a risk, HopALong. Personally, I do all my shopping online. Even when DH nipped to the newsagents for milk, he was coming home in tears, due to the rows of women waving their legs in their air, saying 'take me now'

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 02/05/2014 19:14

Our M&S is full of older ladies, I'm confident he can outrun them and their lecherous paws.

beershuffle · 02/05/2014 19:22

M&S should be renamed cougar town.

MiniatureRailway · 02/05/2014 19:31

People don't have much respect for relationships if it's obvious the person in the relationship has no respect for them either imo. An ex boyfriend in a ltr with a child frequently sends me messages along the lines of "nobody would find out", knowing I am married with young children. I ignore him completely. But I think I brought this situation about by not having much respect for the er, sanctity of relationships when I was younger. So probably my own fault. I would never cheat on my husband.

CloverHeart · 02/05/2014 19:33

Is this like some sort of reverse Samantha Brick? "My husband is so gorgeous that I keep having to bat other women away"?

Hullygully · 02/05/2014 19:39

I get this all the time, but in my case it's Sainos. I have at them with a frozen ciabatta. That sees them off.

RandallFloyd · 02/05/2014 19:40

How often are you in HSamuels? Confused

KissMyFatArse · 02/05/2014 19:45

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 02/05/2014 19:49
