I have read an article on the above where she states despite being 18 weeks pregnant and pleased up until now she will be having an abortion to "further her career" namely to qppear on big brother.

whether this is morally ok is one thing but AIBU to ask if an abortion for the reasons she gives is legal? i suppose its similar to someone saying its not the right time, just more brazen?

(I consider myself pro choice btw I just find her apparent callousness a bit tough to take)

There was something about getting past week 12 with this pg (hence the bump cossetting photos)

I want breasts/ I want to be a model/ I want them taken out/I want money, I'll be an escort /I don't know who the dad is/I want to go on BB/I want a big house/I want fame/I want a pink RR/ I want an abortion/ I want my teeth done

See a theme ?

I want to bleach my brain so i'm bowing out

Maybe he did agree before that he wanted it kept quiet?

And the Belt& Braces - ok she probably didn't want to get pg by a client but she said she wasn't using birth control with the friend (footballer)

The morals isn't her contraception laxity it's her blabbering in the press about it.

As I said before, she's either had the abortion or not. Hopefully she'll just get on with her life and enjoy her flash of fame.

And explain to her little boy when he comes home from school about Mummy in the papers with her tits out

Hmm exploitation of women by using the sex trade and you think he's owed a duty of confidentiality?

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 26/04/2014 00:22

Look, I think it's odd and unwise to tell the press about health details (Cherie Blair and the forgotten diaphragm, anyone?) but I don't think it's immoral.

SolidGoldBrass · 26/04/2014 09:11

I agree that she seems to be making some unwise choices regarding telling the press (who are Not Her Friends) so much about her life, but she's not the first person to do this.
Mind you, men who have 'car crash' lives (drink, drugs, relationship difficulties) don't seem to get quite the same sort of demolition derby effect from both ordinary press and social media. Assorted rapists and wifebeaters get their fuckups brushed aside, pretty much. Funny, that...

Today I was shopping and her face was plastered across the Sinday Mirror.

Apparently she felt the baby kick and it was a sign - an epiphany if you like- and she couldn't go through with it.

Nothing at all to do with CBB and The H8terz on FaceBook then?

FWIW Josie, not that you give a shiney sh*t what I think, I think you made the right decision to keep the baby.
I think you'd have looked back after your fling with fame and thought was it worth it ?
No.

Horsemad · 27/04/2014 22:20

Poor kid.

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 27/04/2014 22:40

I hope that she is happy with her decision.

FWIW, I wouldn't be in the least surprised if she had never intended to have an abortion and it was all about the publicity. None of which changes my view on her right to that abortion if she had wanted it.

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 27/04/2014 22:52

Yes, Doctrine, me too. Love the way the tabloids (and many others) jumped on the story from the "feckless women aborting innocent baybies" angle though... Hmm

Which is why the quote I posted from Martin Robbins upthread is so, so important. It's her decision - no one else's.
