...to feel strongly that women should not wash their private parts with soap, nor use feminine freshness wipes?

And the reason this is bothering me now is because I have had an argument with my (otherwise lovely) "waxing technician" because every time I go for a brazilian she insists on wiping me, inside my vagina after every spread of wax, with these packeted wipes.

How is it that we are in 2014 and the medical profession has not done a good enough job to make women aware that using products which remove the oils/mucous from places like the urethra/vagina/anus, causes problems with bacterial infection?

WTAF?! You need to find yourself a new waxer, that is NOT normal.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 21/03/2014 19:16

I've been having Hollywood waxes for 10 years. No therapist has ever wiped inside my vagina, or inside my labia (which is what I hope you mean)

drinkyourmilk · 21/03/2014 19:17

Jeepers. I've been waxed around the world (so to speak). I have -never- been cleaned by anyone. Ive had them put on aloe gel or similar afterwards, but that's it.
Find someone new!

So you pay this women
She rips out your hair, and despite your little squeaks of 'Nonono, it will dry up my fanny' she insists on wiping you inside your vagina. And you return to her, again and again?
This belongs in Style and Beauty, it makes no sense to me.

natwebb79 · 21/03/2014 19:17

Please can you answer what the hell the woman is doing wiping inside your vagina?! Shock

Needlesswidow · 21/03/2014 19:18

I have some hairs growing on the inside of my vaginal lips... so she waxes them. I consider that "inside" my vagina.

Op. .. I think you are missing some thing here

INSIDE YOUR VAGINA

HadABadDay2014 · 21/03/2014 19:18

I would go as far as this being a sexual assult.

TheGreatHunt · 21/03/2014 19:19

Inside your vagine would beinside the entrance. That's a bit different to the inner lips.

alwaysneedaholiday · 21/03/2014 19:20

Soooo you are happy to have wax on your labia, but not wipes???

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/03/2014 19:20

Well, it's not: see

Needlesswidow · 21/03/2014 19:21

TheGreatHunt when she wipes the inside of my lips she goes over my labia too

juneybean · 21/03/2014 19:21

The fuck?! Do you mean inside your vulva?!

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 21/03/2014 19:22

Your lips are your labia. See diagram above.

Goblinchild · 21/03/2014 19:23

Yet somehow, for some bizarre reason you return?
And it all happenes all over again?
Weird, very weird.

Needlesswidow · 21/03/2014 19:23

My "labia minora" not my lips

SauvignonBlanche · 21/03/2014 19:24

Needlesswidow · 21/03/2014 19:24

Goblinchild well I am not going to return now

juneybean · 21/03/2014 19:24

I don't think its too odd to give it a quick wipe before putting wax on though?

If you are allowing another person to do this to you why do you feel so strongly that women should not do it to themselves?

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/03/2014 19:26

op

Both sets of lips are labia.

She is not "washing your vagina", it is your vulva she is wiping with those wipes.

That is fairly normal and won't affect any mucous membrane because erm...it's not inside your vagina.

GiveTwoSheets · 21/03/2014 19:26

Lol if she need to wipe maybe she thinks your unbearable smelly.

I've never heard of been wiped down before very odd

TheGreatHunt · 21/03/2014 19:27

Your labia are your lips. You have inner ones and outer ones.

Needlesswidow · 21/03/2014 19:28

Binkyridesagain the wipe happened in a space of seconds - I wans't able to prevent it. I asked her not to do it and she said it was the only way to wax. So we stopped the wax. I don't want my vagina continually wiped by these "medicated" wipes - It causes bacterial infection.
