To have smashed an egg on his windscreen

lollipoppi · 11/03/2014 19:48

Ok, so I know IABU and it was a spur of the moment childish thing to do but ........

Upon leaving the supermarket with a 1yo and 3yo in tow, I get to my car to find a man struggling to get out of his van because he has parked so close to my car.

I politely pointed out that if he is struggling then how am I expected to get my 3yo into his car seat when I cannot open my door.
His response was "it's not my problem"
Me : well it's now my problem because your an incompetent arse
Him: fuck off you stuck up btch, and walked off with his mate laughing

Whilst my 3yo was climbing over my 1yo to get to his car seat, I unloaded the shopping and came across the eggs.

I splatted one on his windscreen and bombed it

Very immature of me I know, but I think he deserved it!

all the people complaining that someone else has pulled up to their boot why can't you just drop back a bit for loading

You mean, leave my trolley in front of my car. Get in , start up, move forward. Get out. Move trolley. Load shopping. Take my trolley back?

I did.
On the three occasions in less than 10 weeks when it has happened. In a supermarket car park. When 99% of people want to use their noot.
When I parked in the middle of open space. No car beside , behind, in front. Leaving a large gap (which the other car took up, so they were 12- 18" into my space over the lines.

But let me ask you Ghoul?

Why the hell should I have to ? Why should I have to go out of my way because someone else chooses to park like a cunt inconsiderate idiot ?

Hmm

70 - I'm not saying it's not a bit annoying but equally it's not that big a deal. Don't sweat the small stuff is what I'm saying...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/03/2014 14:01

I've got a wrecked back after 3 (non fault) RTAs

Believe me, it is not small stuff if someone blocks my car.
The parking behind me so that I can't get into my boot is bad enough.
If someone parks next to my door so I can't open it....? (Happens alot at Lakeside , I come back to find a car next to mine and the door can only open 4" . If my back is ok, I can get in the other door. But again, why should I? )

It's an inconvience without measure. I cannot scoot across the passenger side if my back won't oblige

It IS a big deal.

Any body saying they hope she gets arrested for criminal damage needs to get a grip. You must live extremely sheltered lives!!

Actually the more I think about it, the more I applaud the OP.

There are BB Spaces.
There are P&C spaces.
There are a million threads "You don't need P&C spaces, learn to park. Learn to drive"

There are a load of people (myself included) who need not extra room but to be able to open our car doors.
The drivers who blocked me are probably still doing it, because they were blissfully unaware how their selfish action affected me. Becayse I didn't make them aware.

Spaces in car parks are big enough but if I park and a huge car or van parks next to me, badly, it impacts.
The onus is on everyone to park safely and thoughtfully.

Lipsalve/ lipstick is good for YPLAC messages I'm told.

Most vans have those slidey doors don't they? So if eggman just needed to slide the door along and hop on board, the gap in his door is exactly the same.

Meanwhile our OP probably needed to be about as thin as a fag-paper to open the door and get her DC in/out.

Let's face it, eggman could have done more to help. I'm sure he isn't losing any sleep over a works van ??? - sounds like the egg only landed on the glass.

Vandalism ... over-egg'ing the pudding, wouldn't you say

Do you have a giganto car?

Were you parked sensibly yourself?

Funny that the OP hasn't returned.

that is one of the things I really hate people saying here. why funny? she had posted several times and probably reached a point where there's nothing else to add from her part.
what else do you want her to say?

Because an egg is clear, but if you then turn the windscreen washers on to clean it (natural reaction) it sort of scrambles and you can't see a thing.

And yes, if you vandalise someones car after they have parked perfectly legally and correctly in a parking space then yes, you are a bit of a cunt! And she was aggressive and swore at him!

merrymouse · 12/03/2014 17:10

Anything you do after somebody calls you a stuck up bitch is probably reasonable.

TSSDNCOP · 12/03/2014 17:11

I like your work OP.

I hope it took a reeeeeeeeeallllyyyyyyy long time to get off.

TSSDNCOP · 12/03/2014 17:11
