Ok so I posted earlier but I've now had to call the police...

I posted earlier about my ExH taking pictures from my FB page and putting them on his, he tagged his girlfriend of 2 weeks in them etc etc...

I have just been to pick up my DD from nursery to be told than a woman fitting his new girlfriends description tried to collect DD from nursery. They called me but I was already on my way and told them I would deal with it, they refused to release my DD (obviously) and waited on me.

She was gone by the time i got there and have called 101 once I was home.

This bizarre behaviour seems to be escalating and I'm getting worried. I know where the woman is right now and tbh I'm trying my best to stay calm and not go to her and go through her like a ton of bricks.

Has anyone been in this position? I'm really struggling to sit tight right now.

trampstamp · 26/02/2014 13:24

Do you think ex and his girlfriend may have had a issue some sort of fall out

MeepMeepVrooom · 26/02/2014 13:28

I've had a phone call from the police. My ex was detained this morning.

fideline · 26/02/2014 13:29

Are you ok? This is all very fast-moving

Meerka · 26/02/2014 13:30

good heavens. From what the police said your ex did have some legal right to try to pick up your daughter, so if they've actually detained him it does sound weird.

Will they be in touch to explain what's going on or what will happen now?

MeepMeepVrooom · 26/02/2014 13:36

Yes and no. I'm a bit of a mess in my head but trying to stay calm for the sake of DD. I wish I knew what was going on.

At the moment there is a million and one scenarios running through my head.

When I spoke to them I gave them the address I will be staying and they said they will call round tonight or tomorrow morning. They have said they will be in touch to let me know.

Confused

I was going to say, it wont happen as the school could delay it until you get there but youve already been told this by the police.

IceBeing · 26/02/2014 13:39

The police move in mysterious ways. Try not to worry that this all means something more. Thanks

MoominsYonisAreScary · 26/02/2014 13:39

It could be to do with the gf, if shes had her dc taken unto care maybe she isnt allowed any unsupervised contact with young dc or something

cjel · 26/02/2014 13:41

MEEP hope your feel safer when at your friends, You have all the support you needx

TimeToPassGo · 26/02/2014 13:43

Bloody hell Meep it is all sounding really fishy but you have done brilliantly getting everything together so quickly. Hang in there!

fideline · 26/02/2014 13:44

Have you made contact with SW the Police gave you the name for? (Might end up being a less constrained source of information)

CandyKate · 26/02/2014 13:46

Just wanted to say that i hope the hearing goes well and think you are doing an amazing job, and staying calm and sensible.

hellsbellsmelons · 26/02/2014 13:51

Just adding to the good luck messages.
I hope it goes well later.
You've been calm (even if you don't feel like it), brave and fantastic in this situation.
It must be awful but you are handling it brilliantly.
Good luck!

RustyParker · 26/02/2014 14:00

I hope this afternoon's hearing goes well. I doubt you will have a problem getting the pso with your ex and his gf are in police custody on a matter relating to your dd.

RestingActress · 26/02/2014 14:04

Good luck meep, we are all wishing you well

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 26/02/2014 14:05

You are doing a fantastic job Meep

Good luck this afternoon.

AngelaDaviesHair · 26/02/2014 14:12

I've been lurking and reading with horror. I'm so glad the police have done a great job for you, good luck in court (don't think you'll need it, sounds very straightforward).

I do hope this is the end of it for you and your DD.

bibliomania · 26/02/2014 14:42

Sounds like you're doing everything right. Best of luck later today.

Wingdingdong · 26/02/2014 14:44

Another one who's just read your thread and sending you lots of luck and virtual support for this afternoon's hearing. Though not sure you need the luck, sounds like you have a great local police team on your side there; the fact that they've now detained your ex as well surely has to be in your favour at the emergency court case, even if they can grant only a temporary order or something at this stage (no idea how the court process works).

Hope you and your friend have a Wine for this evening, I think you're going to need it! You're doing so well in such a frightening situation. And what a lovely friend, too.

fideline · 26/02/2014 14:47

I can't see someone who would try to abduct a child while their hair is pink being very hard to bring to justice TBH

Hope your emergency civil hearing goes smoothly

TheDoctorsNewKidneys · 26/02/2014 14:52

You're being amazing, OP.

Good luck for this afternoon, thinking of you Thanks

TheBeanAndTheBee · 26/02/2014 15:09

SouthernComforts · 26/02/2014 15:10

FrankelInFoal · 26/02/2014 15:29
