to want to try coke just once?

I'm nearing a significant and have a bit of a bucket list.
This is one thing that I'm considering.
Sourcing it shouldn't be a problem.
I've tried softer drugs in my midtwenties, but am now just got a yearning to give it a go in a very controlled environment. But and a little bit concerned about the aftermath.
AIBU to be thinking like this?

Yes, take a chill pill. Only tens of thousands dead, but it's all mostly far away in S. and C. America and Mexico, where people have their heads cut off and their faces stitched onto footballs or are hung off bridges or shot in front of their children for trying to route out the cartels trafficking this shit, and people, mostly women in children, to peddle this crap so people like goinggrey can also grieve.

I'll chill when this shit stops costing lives for someone's pathetic idea of a bucket list.

I was a terrible speed queen in my early 20s. I would never touch drugs now. I live in the US so they would be coming from Mexico and there have been way too many heads hanging from bridges for me to feel comfortable, knowing I was probably paying for someone else to meet a similar end.

I lost a daughter to cancer, but now, many of my friends have lost their children to drugs and suicide with drug addiction. They hit the anniversaries and they wonder the same, why coke? why heroin? why 'party drugs'? Sorry.

I used to live in Mexico City where whole families have been destroyed because of cocaine. Five minutes of reading about the drug trade should be enough to put you off. Don't know why any educated person would do it for this reason alone.

Really not worth it.

I did it lots when I was young, silly and naive. Yes it had some fun moments but now having a dd and being more
aware of the drug trade I Wouldn't touch it (or any other drugs) with a bargepole now and I judge those that do, espessially those with children.

It's no biggie, doesn't last long and there are no major after effects. I don't do any drugs any more, but coke was ok. Not as much fun as E and speed, but much less after effects. Just do it and cross it off your list. Alcohol is more scary than coke.

I was a clubber in my misspent youth, so it's fair to say I had a line or two.

I am a firm believer that you can dabble and not necessarily become addicted.

HOWEVER... I have since become aware of the horrendous-ness of the drug trade, and as a result, couldn't possibly support it. Under any circumstances. No humane person could, I wouldn't've thought. Same with porn. Once you have even the vaguest inkling as to how awful it is for such a great many people involved, you cannot support it, as a human being.

Coke is a vile drug, not only due to the method and the lives lost to trade it, but because it brings out the worst in people.

If you're desperate to try a drug, go with MDMA, it floods the brain with serotonin, which is a happy hormone. Far more 'nice'.

Drugs will always be around, lives will be lost to addiction, sadly, but if someone wants to try something, then it is their responsibility to do the research and find out the effects and aftermath.

But the point is, only cunts do coke, go for something nicer if you must

Agree with the poster who said don't bother, it's shit. I have extremely easy access to it and can get it at the drop of a hat, even without paying - I don't. I tried it once or twice when I was having a bad time and was desperate for something to numb how I felt but it didn't make a blind bit of difference.

All these people posting saying 'don't bother, I tried of and it's shot' - of it really were shit, do you think so many people would do it?? Obviously not.

Try some OP, when you're with your friends and you're having a fun evening at home, after a glass of wine. Don't try any in pub toilets (obvious buzz kill and more risky taking it out obviously re being illigal) or with people you don't like.

I did it a lot back in my early 20s. Wouldn't bother these days. It was a good laugh when I was young and had no one else to worry about. Now I have a young family I wanted feel comfortable doing it.

It's alright. But it's expensive and doesn't really last long so on a night out you have to keep doing more.

It's a very long time since I've done it though. If you do just make sure you're with others who have done it as well or you'll annoy the fuck out if them.

No dont do it. I would echo the other posters comments on the horrible things that happen in order to get the drugs to your local pub or whatever.
I saw a neighbour shot due to cocaine-he apparently owed someone much higher up than him.no one even called an ambulance because the rest of our street were too scared.
I bet you lot saying 'yeah do it' dont even buy battery hen eggs on account of the cruelty.Hypocrites

Cokes not really a risky thing to take, your not going to over dose from a gram, more likely your going to want to buy more as you come down and all you will want to do it chat shit.

MDMA is more risky but a wicked feeling,
