£475k isn't exactly affordable mind, but WTF?

Someone's done well from buying their council house. Smile

Tulip26 · 15/01/2014 14:56

It depends. Where is Teddington? Makes me think of bears. That's a reasonable asking price for a house of that size in parts of Devon or London.

Thesimplethings · 15/01/2014 14:56

Surely that's not right?

MollyBerry · 15/01/2014 14:57

The houses around are similar if not higher in price

Yeah I spotted this one. A bit more affordable perhaps? m.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/31508815?search_identifier=3361f56fcbb141e3696f765e780683af

Sorry am struggling to get links to work.

CosyTeaBags · 15/01/2014 15:00

Shock Shock Shock Shock Shock

I thought £475k sounded like too much as well!!

I'll never complain about the cost of houses around me again.

yoshipoppet · 15/01/2014 15:00

Teddington is in SW London.

AgaPanthers · 15/01/2014 15:02

Which part of Devon? The Duchess of Devonshire's house in Mayfair?

It's in Twickenham. It's a ludicrous price but I don't think it's a typo.

Bloody awful living room set though.

SnakeyMcBadass · 15/01/2014 15:05

That is insane.

weeblueberry · 15/01/2014 15:05

Christ. Does the water in that area make you poop diamonds or something? Hmm

Dingleinthevillage · 15/01/2014 15:08

Error I'd say! The other ones at that price are character detached. Someone phone the agent & say they're on MN.

pinkpip100 · 15/01/2014 15:09

I've got relatives that live on that road - their pretty but fairly small Victorian mid-terrace with 3 bedrooms (but only because of a loft conversion) and a postage stamp garden was valued last year at £650k. So no, I don't think its a mistake - but agree that it's ludicrously over-priced!

DadOnIce · 15/01/2014 15:11

Looks a horrible, boring house to me. Do people really pay that much just to live in - or near - London?

Look what that price range can get you in Derbyshire for example.

Wishfulmakeupping · 15/01/2014 15:11

That cannot be right?!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/01/2014 15:12

My MIL lives a couple of streets away in a house about quarter the size with teeny garden and no parking, worth over £400K, so I would say the price is correct.

Wishfulmakeupping · 15/01/2014 15:12

Think one of us should call Dingle Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/01/2014 15:14

In fact my parents lived on that road when I was born. Sadly they were just renting a flat.

OpposableThumbs · 15/01/2014 15:14

I work in Teddington. Can't afford to live there though. The prices are ridiculous.

TalkinPeace · 15/01/2014 15:14

location, location, location ... look it up on google maps

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 15/01/2014 15:14

DadOnIce that house is luffly.

Lonelynessie · 15/01/2014 15:14

Yep, price is correct. Bloody ridiculous but correct!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/01/2014 15:15

Teddington station has trains direct to Waterloo, too.
