Everyone seems so young on here these days.

Maybe it's time I shuffled off to Gransnet.

Well that's me told!

I will never understand the language of the older generation. So vulgar and now my innocent eyes are tarnished.

Fuckers

I feel the same a lot of the time - but it probably keeps me young, reading about what those pesky young folk get up to. I'm not shuffling off just yet.

There are plenty of us oldies around, anyway. You've spotted the menopause threads, I take it?

Gransnet is a bit grim.

It's full of MIL with witchy DIL.

I can't actually run either usual...

I have a creaky hip.

My baby and young children days are long gone.

^^

Sucks Werther's what????? If you're still doing that sort of thing my dear, you are definitely NOT too old Grin

Love a picnic I do.

My eldest DS will be 35 in January! Not quite ready for Gransnet yet, though, even if I am one Smile

No.... Dont go. You are only as old as you feel and in any event, the beauty of these forums is that you get opinions from people from all walks of life, who have had such diverse experiences, sometimes relevent, sometimes not. Age grants us wisdom and that cannot be bought.

I'm in my 40s but not joining gransnet.
How about forming Ginsnet?

I bet all us 'young' mums feel older and more haggard than the typical Gransnet member. I'm on DC3 and am physically and mentally drained.

off to check out Gransnet

don't leave, us young ones need to advice and expertise with the wisdom that comes with age.

Another oldie checking in to middleagednet.

It's fun giving the young'uns the benefit of our wisdom Xmas Grin

Are you wearing an Edinburgh woolen mill jumper with a Bon Marche skirt? Then of course you're not too fucking old.

But you'll miss all the lovely threads like Baby Reeling's arrival..!! Mind you, I'm strangely drawn to the idea of Ginsnet...Grin

Oh, and I'm 65......

There's a lot of us on here who are older than the average. My DCs are 25 and 23 but I definitely don't feel old enough for Gransnet yet despite having knickers that may be older than SP

Just keep your age quiet and pretend to be young again, nobody will ever remember Grin

I am a Gran.

I quite fancied a top in M & S today.

That's a bad sign

badbride You naughty thing you made me choke on my Jaffa Cake. DH is looking at me very suspiciously.

I will own up to being 51 and I keep my reading glasses on a chain around my neck but I definitely don't consider myself old enough for Gransnet. DD is still at school, just. Anyway I just discovered there is a forum on here for Higher Education where the empty nesters hang out so I am keeping an eye on that for next year.

I know the feeling. Secondary school is on the horizon... I don't feel old enough to have a 10 year old, but equally too old to be discussing nappies and BLWHmm
