Try GN and you will find a level of serious debate and more fun (as a consequence of rather more experience than you have) and you might even learn something. As for blankets and rugs we're all far too busy doing things to waste our time in slobbing around.

My eldest is 34, I'm about to retire and my favourite clothes are skinny jeans & boots.

Even when insomnia strikes there is always something going on here. I love the range of topics and the very lively debate.

The parenting threads are great as I now have young grandchildren & it's interesting to hear what's changed in 30 years. AIBU can be a hoot but I'm useless at spotting the fakes, couldn't spot a troll in a troll shop.

I also love Gransnet which seems much more intimate :)

I'm a geriatric mum too. With a 14mo. I'm nearer 50 than 40 - although I'm not sure I exactly feel it - and I'll be a long time waiting to be a gran! Just as well if they don't let you fecking swear on Gransnet though. I mean really - who wants to be in with a bunch of po-faced ol' people with catsbum faces every time you say a swearword?

Yet another geriatric who doesn't feel that old but would probably would join middle-aged-net as long as you could swear. Definitely too young for Gransnet.

I never liked Donny Osmond or David Cassidy by the way, I preferred Marc Bolan or David Bowie.
