I mean how can they?

I have 2 cats and now 1 puppy. I watch my puppy when she is out and know where she is, I can see if she is pooing. If she disappears under a bush I check (with my sense of smell) and pick up if necessary. I carry poo bags everywhere.

However, my cats come and go as they please. When they were kittens I had a litter tray that they used, but as they started to go outside with a cat flap, they stopped using the litter tray.

My (ex) neighbour asked me to come and pick up after my cats, but as there are lots and lots of cats in the area, there was no knowing that it was my cats.

I am not a bad pet owner. But I think it is unreasonable to expect cat owners to have the same poo pick up responsibility as dog owners.

I have just returned to this thread and laughed out loud. Not at blind children though.

Would just like to jump back in to say that the adorable furry psychopath currently asleep on my feet does catch squirrels (she is a Serengeti and fucking fast), then eats all of them except the head, tail and back feet, which she leaves in a gruesome little pile for the toddlers to find. She also eats most of the pigeons. But the foxes get the bits she doesn't finish off so that's ok right?

Toddlers have once or twice tried to eat kitten poo. They are not blind though.

If you actually mean that toad, and I hope to god you're just being goady, buy if you actually mean it, you are a very very fucking sick individual and your work mate shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets.

Since when did shooting vermin make you a sicko? Just like a weed is a plant in the wrong place, a vermin is an animal in the wrong place. As soon as your cat steps on my land, it is vermin to me and will be treated as such.

Its not my pet, just vermin. It would mean nothing more to me than using rat traps, or mole traps, or slug pellets. Its killing vermin, nothing more.

Domestic cats are protected by law and it is an offence to trap, injure or kill them.

And a criminal.
